It pains me to write this review because Lutra was really nice and her salon is beautiful…read more I went with chest length hair and left with a mushroom. I was asked how short I wanted to go and I said 2-3 inches. Now the longest part BARELY touches my neck. Flyaway long hair pieces on both sides of the face that I have to cut myself to even them out. When I try to put hair up one side falls down, which means the layers are uneven, one side shorter than the other. Where my bangs end, the first layer ends too, making the mushroom effect. After I wash the hair it will be even worse! The website is stunning and maybe they specialize in keratin and color, but this haircut has left me in tears. I have a wedding in 3 weeks to attend and thinking of not going because of this. Beware if you plan on going for a life changing haircut, it will be just that!

We worked together to make my vision come to life, from the initial consultation all the way up until the day of the wedding, Erika made the process stress-free - not to mention, she's an amazing person just to hang out and chat with while you're getting pampered. The rest of her glam squad did an amazing job with my bridesmaids and mother's hair/makeup as well. Everyone was beyond ecstatic with their finished looks.

From haircuts to blow outs to most importantly color, Erika is the most talented person I know. I live and drive all the way from long island because she is the only person who can give me the purple highlights i so often desire. I show her a few photos of what I want and she nails it every time, from the color to the amount, I always leave extremely happy. And besides the process of it all, she is extremely gentle (I have naturally curly hair so my scalp is tender) and comforting. We chat about everything under the sun and she is so knowledgeable about hair and products. A diamond in the rough, you won't be disappointed!

Midway through my hair appointment I was told the owner was going to be charging me $100 an hour... never have I ever been told a hair salon charges by the hour, unheard of, which I voiced at that point with toner in my hair. I was there from the 1100 to 1800. My hair at 6pm was still not cut nor blow dried. The color and style that I showed them as to what I wanted was not met. I paid and left without my hair being finished. The girl dying my hair said well if you go home and see you don't like the color after it's blow dried you can come back in to get it fixed.... will not be returning for any unwelcome surprises.

I am not going to name the stylist since I only had one cut here and sometimes it takes a few times to get it right. I don't plan to return, though. I just want to warn people that they are *very* pushy about selling products here. I felt extremely pressured to load up on expensive items, even though I usually resist that pressure with no problem. I don't know if it was just my stylist or if this is the way of the salon. Either way, it was certainly unappreciated.
