The salon is nice, my stylist was nice. But they didn't do a single thing right. I scheduled partial highlights. Once I realized the stylist was doing a full color, not partial highlights, I questioned her and she said she thought that was what I wanted, even though we just had a whole conversation about it. I'm pretty easy going and figured oh well, I will just try it, it was too late to change at this point anyway. The chemicals they used burned my scalp, I mean literally, I had extremely red, irritated skin for a few days. After washing out the color she applied two different tonors to take out any gold color that didn't lift enough. Then we moved on to the cut. I wanted a trim 1 1/2'' or so, she convinced me to layer my hair. I actually like the layers but my shortest layer was to be 1 1/2 inches cut, and that ended up being my longest layer. I estimate she cut about 3-4 inches off in spots. Its only hair, it will grow back, not a big deal. But then she dried my hair and I saw the color...it was supposed to be blond and it was gold or yellow. The tonors did nothing for my hair, and it looked nothing like the samples we had picked out. I didn't really realize how bad it was until I got home. Then I cried, it looked awful. They have a 2 week color guarantee, so I called to get it fixed. They said they would just apply more tonor, which they already tried so that didn't work for me. I got such a bad feeling, I just didn't think they could fix it. Nothing had gone right so far so I chose to go somewhere else. I spend $180 at aurora and another $220 at another salon getting it fixed. It took nearly 4 hours to undo what was done and I had to get it completely re colored. Now my hair is extremely dry and damaged. I just wish they would have listened to what I wanted in the first place and I feel like most of this situation could have been avoided. read more
