I stopped in there to get a oil change thinking it would take little time. It took them one hour…read moreand 20 min. to complete my oil change. They had one employee there and had one truck along with my car, they took my car in right away and placed it on the rack and started to drain the oil. After awhile I seen they took the car down and the guy told me it was almost done. Approx 15 min later I seen the car going back up on the lift and ask the guy why? Was there a problem? He said no, he just has to change the oil filter. I said I thought that was done and he said so did I. I said well, I been here now for over a hour and he looked at the paper work to see when I got there and said I apologize, it should have only took 30 min. He said what I will do for you is take 10% off of the labor which came to a little over $1.50 (Wow) I will never be back to that business.

I called Chappells and explained the situation to them, offering to cover the cost. Jeff paused for only a moment before telling me to send my friend to them, and they would remove the tire for free and not charge a disposal fee for the old tire. The Good: Chappell's was very helpful in scheduling me to…read moreinstall tires on my wheels within my lunch hour. I brought them tires and they dismounted the tires from my wheels and mounted and balanced the tires I brought. They drive smoothly, so I can assume they did an acceptable job with the balancing. The Bad: Once I got home and was able to inspect their work, I found that there was new damage to the faces of all 4 of my wheels. The damage was not just clear coat scuffs - it was gouges in the metal caused by their machines. I called to inform them of the damage I found, and I was asked to bring my vehicle back in for them to inspect. I brought the car in and they admitted that the new damage that I pointed out was caused by their employee/machine. The only solution i was offered was to get a refund on the mounting/balancing labor. They refused to offer any compensation to have the damage they caused to my wheels repaired. I was told that is the only option they would give me. I was refunded the cost of the mounting and balancing, but now I am left with damaged wheels due to their negligence. Final Thoughts: Every business that offers a service should make it a priority to make sure their customer is satisfied. This is especially applicable in cases where it is obvious the responsibility or fault falls on the service provider. This was not the case for Chappell's Tire. They refunded me the cost of their labor, but did not take responsibility and offer to have the damage they caused to my wheels repaired. I had heard lots of good things about these guys, and that is the sole reason for me giving them my business. Its unfortunate the great reviews and word of mouth did not meet my expectations. I will not be returning to Chappell's for any future work, nor will I recommend them to my friends or colleagues.
