Finally, in the mornings they offer freshly-roasted chickens, but be sure to get there early, because they go quick, and once they're out, they're out. We'd originally gone there seeking the Delice but as we walk through the door, I see the cheesemonger literally spooning out the gorgonzola into a container & it was love at first sight Grabbed a baguette from around the corner & dinner was served. That Gorgonzola was INCREDIBLE! Oozy, gooey, mild but tons of flavor The Delice de Pommard was a cream cheese with mustard seed husks from the Burgundy region Also offering wines, oils and lots of other temptations, Alain Hess is well worth a visit. I don't understand how they achieved this level of flavor with ingredients that everyone else in France would be able to have access to if they looked hard enough. I was hoping to come back here the next day, but they were closed on Wednesdays. We can't wait to come back on our next trip.
