Our corgi doesn't always behave well at bath time. He's not a fan of people touching his ears and paws but Tony handled it graciously and took great care of our pup! Even sent me a couple of update pics. If your dog is a shedder then the deshedding is definitely worth the extra money. This place is awesome. I have a long coat german shepherd. Staff is highly knowledgeable and educated on skin issues as well. He makes his own natural sprays and conditioners too. My dog seems to like it there. Tony does an awesome job with my him. Hes been shedding his winter coat so much. This last time he went in Tony did a deshedding on him and now his coat is super soft, and shiny. Im sure my dog feels so much better. He probably feels cooler and better with all that excess fur off of him. Im super comfortable with this place in knowing that they are confident and know what they are doing. I highly recommend this place for your pets grooming needs. read more

Our trainer had recommended this groomer to us as we had a couple of bad experiences with our Doodle puppy. I also have a friend who uses them too. We took her here and she went to Kristi who did a wonderful job. I also appreciated that she sent me a couple pictures while she was working on our pup. Great place to take your dog to do self service dog grooming. I have a black lab mix, and he sheds a lot. So grooming him at home during the winter is really awful. Taking him to Aunties and using their tub is the best! Very friendly and helpful. I'll be back again and again!! read more

My dog Zsazsa is really in need of her grooming and Cindy and I played phone tag for a few days. My husband asked me why I don't just take.her somewhere else I absolutely refuse. Cindy is accommodating. My dog/s have always come home looking perfect and happy. I will wait to get her in to Aunties as my dog is like my child. If Zsazsa is happy, then I am happy. I have used Cindy and I will continue to use her. It is just not worth taking chances with your babies. read more

The small but caring staff at Aunty's Dog Grooming did the grooming care for our chow/shepherd mix for many years until he died at age 14. We tried a few other grooming places before that but he was always fighting us to return to those places. He would go to Aunty's willingly, and came out looking great. They would take their time with him, never seeming to be in a hurry to get him done quickly, and were considerate of his fear of the hairdryer. Their care for the animals is apparent. I had used Aunty's self serve to bathe my large dog for more than two years, always on a drop-in basis. Due to covid paranoia, I telephoned them to see if they were open for business. With no answer, I left a phone message, requesting a call back. After four days with no call-back from them, I checked their website, which said the self-serve portion of their grooming business was in operation, appointment-free. On driving five miles there, I found the now caged-in front of the business, strangely resembling the front of a prison, complete with many warning signs, including one which warned no more self-serve baths. While standing in front looking at this and all the signage relating to covid, Aunty half way emerged from the front door and said the self serve may be in operation once the last of the employees gets a covid vaccine injection. They could have returned a phone call. They could have updated their website. They could have checked their tin-foil hat paranoia. Later that day, I found another place, closer to me, run by friendly, down-to-earth folk, which was fine for the purpose. Aunty's lost a customer. read more

Yay!!! I'm the first one to review!!! Cindy and Tony take such great care of my dogs with I bring them there. I have two pitbulls and a frenchie and this is the first place I have ever gone where they are not afraid to tackle my pitbulls to the groung to cut their nails. LOL! I realize that pits have a rep, but that's all it is, a rep. All dogs are different. It's all about the owners who raise the dogs and Cindy and Tony have never been discriminative against my dogs. The doggies always come home so happy and clean! They also keep an eye out in case they notice anything on the dogs' skin or ears and lets me know so that I can take them to the vet if need be. I definitely recommend this place to all you canine lovers! read more

Great staff, I use the tubs to wash my own dog and the tubs are nice. Very clean, lot's of towels and everything you need. Their hours change here and there but the tubs are awesome. They are really good people. read more

I was referred to Aunty's Grooming by a very satisfied customer, so I drove down to their shop to discuss grooming for my 2 fur babies. Nobody is allowed inside the shop (I'm guessing due to COVID) but they set up a cage system outside that appears to work well. As I drove into the parking lot, a person who I suspect is one of the owners was checking in other clients. When the coast was clear, I walked into the cage set-up and rang the bell. There was a sign that asked me to be patient, so I waited. And waited and waited some more. I rang the bell a second time and waited again. There was no intercom system where someone could have acknowledged my existence and nobody came out to greet my girls and I, so after 10 minutes of standing in silence, I left. They've lost any chance of having me for a client. read more

We did not have a good experience with this groomer. We dropped our two small dogs off at 12 noon and we were told they would be ready between 3-4. We showed up at 4 to pick them up because we hadn't received a call. We had to wait another 2 and a half hours. She had excuses about an out of control dog so our dogs were neglected and left in crates all day. The right thing to do would have been to call the owner of the out of control dog and have it picked up. Our Yorkie looked like he only had a bath and not cut. Our Maltese was uneven. Both of our pups were a little bit anxiety ridden for a few days. One thing a dog groomer should never do is OVERBOOK or except dogs that cannot be controlled. read more

I was searching for a reputable groomer and our vet recommended Cindy of Aunty's Grooming. The location was so easy to get to as it was right off Yosemite in the same building as a natural pet food company known as The Dog House. Shop was very clean and free of odors. Very intimate setting which I like as it put my schnauzer at ease. Fuzz was ready in the time promised and he looked absolutely fantastic! Previous groomers never cut the eyebrows or beard right but Cindy did a perfect job. After the groom I noticed Fuzz was still relaxed which showed me he was comfortable with Cindy and the entire visit. We live in Tracy but there is no doubt we will be regulars here. Absolutely worth the 10 min drive from Tracy to Lathrop. We have already set up advance appointments to avoid scheduling conflicts and I suggest others do too. read more

Our dog Hunter was so stinky no one wanted to be around him. We had a bath planned but then I remembered that Aunty's has a self wash. Off we went- the facility was awesome, and way, way, easier than doing it at home. Tony even came in and helped us blow him dry- Hunter had a good time and smells so much better. A shop where are out 4# maltese, 7# maltese and 140# Rottie can all be groomed. Shop Grooming: Full service grooming - never chaotic or noisy when we arrive, always an easy transition, shop is clean, several typically difficult to find products available for purchase, Cindy lets us know when the dogs are finished, the dogs are always in good spirits when we pick them up & the cuts/wash/trims are always top-notch. We couldn't be happier with what she does for these pooches. Pet owner/self bathe option: We bathe the Rottie ourselves, the setup here is better than we ever thought we'd find. The bays are fully outfitted - double sided tub, convenient water controls, convenient and easy tub leashing, the right mix of grooming products. Tony is available with tips and advice for making the bath an easier one for pet & owner. The bays are like a carwash - for your dog. If you where to build your own bays - this would be the setup. Our bassets love Aunty's! We do too. The self serve wash is awesome. They treat our crazy dogs like family. I love that you have to provide shot records before anything being done on the dog. I am not risking my dogs getting parvo or another contagious thing at Petsmart or one of the old school groomers. I haven't heard any other groomer in town ask for records, and I have family that use different groomers in town. You even get a reminder in the mail or emailed when they are due for a booster. I've taken my little guy to a few different groomers and have had some bad experiences. He's a lovable, friendly guy but he left the groomers,that's next to manteca high, (don't want to name names) visibly shaken the last time and she was just plain rude about it. I mentioned this to Cindy and she seemed very concerned about it and even went as far to give me a call mid grooming. She is excellent at her job, my little Rosko never looked so good, and she obviously has tremendous love and compassion for the animals. I will not be patronizing any other groomers. We just came here for the first time with our two dogs and it was AMAZING! The price was great, for our two dogs one medium and one large size it was definitely fair. They both walked out looking so much better and I just know they feel great, they both got the full grooming and they are like new dogs. My first time visiting, I had taken my dogs to the lake and they needed a good bath. The owners the Martin's were so accommodating and even showed me how to use the equipment. They even have these amazing towels that suck up all the water off the dog and it cuts the drying time in half! I have poodles and they even provide the conditioning spray and brushes! We were so pleased with the outstanding service and care my 2 senior dogs received. Tony was so kind to them trying to calm their nervousness upon check in. Since it was our first time, I got a quick tour of their workspace. When I returned later to pick up the dogs, both were happy and strutting with their new bandanas. It's good to know they tend to be closed on Saturday but open on Sunday. They also take weekday appointments as late as 3pm, and recommend appointments be made 7-10 days in advance. read more

I've been taking my two girls to Aunty's Grooming for a couple of years. They love Cindy and get so excited to see her once we hit the parking lot they are trying to jump out my car window to see her. And most importantly Cindy loves them just as much. She gives them a lot of attention and cuddles before she puts them in their kennel. She does a fantastic job of grooming them and at a very affordable cost.
