I came here with my husband and another couple for dinner and we had a good experience! First off, the building is amazing. It's an old building with all original flooring and everything and it is a really interesting building to have a pub in.
My husband and I ordered the "Goats Cheese Tartlet" with beetroot relish and toasted almonds. I thought that this was quite good! It was made with all fresh ingredients. I loved the goat cheese, and the crust on the tartlet was done perfectly.
For my entree, I got the "Fish and Chips" with real mushy peas. I also really liked this entree! The fish was fresh, the perfect level of crispiness (without being greasy), the chips were nice and thick, and I loved the mushy peas. I almost had wished that it came with more mushy peas because they did a really good job on the mushy peas.
Overall, the service was pretty good. Our server was very good about checking in with the chef on allergies. At times, the service seemed a bit slow, but overall it was quite good.
Overall, the Auld Triangle is a really cool place with great food, good service, and fair prices. I definitely recommend! read more
