We switched our home owners insurance from State Farm over to Walker Insurance this year…read more The main reason we switched is because it saved us about $150 per year, for even better coverage. However, we were overwhelmed by the level of service that Josh brought. He answered all of our questions and really made the switching process simple. If you are shopping around, I'd give these guys a look.

Best-Walker would do well to screen its employees and agents for professionalism before hiring…read more When I called the company last week to request cancellation of services, the person who answered the phone refused to give me her full name, her contact line (just the main number) or transfer me to a superior to help me when my own agent (who came from another agency and has been wonderful for over a decade) was on vacation. After her refusal, she hung up on me. When I called back and I protested about being hung up on, she replied, "You aren't a customer here anymore, so your complaints will fall on deaf ears...I'm not afraid of you." She then hung up on me again. If I had known that switching agencies due to a nearly 50% savings in premiums (nothing personal) would result in such rude and unprofessional treatment, I would not have chosen Best-Walker in the first place.

Horrible Service!! They do not pay attention to detail. First time they screwed up they asked me…read moreinformation about my friend & her account. I told them that they needed to contact her about her own policy. Well the only contact information we have for her is your phone number because you live at the same address.... We had lived at the same address over a year ago.. Plus she had contacted them less than a week prior to change her information because she had just moved and needed to update her renters information... In the meantime I was working on purchasing a home. I contacted them for a quote and when everything went through my mortgage provider helped me confirm my coverage and moved on with my homeowners policy. Shortly after I get a phone call one day saying that all of my policies will be cancelled that day if I didn't pay the full balance due. I was sincerely confused. I had not been contacted ONCE about having any balance due. No letters in the mail. No phone calls and no e-mail saying my automatic payment had missed. They gave me no notice!! Who does that?! Fortunately for me I budget very well and paid them that day, but its absurd to not warn someone that their account is over due and cancel their policy when they were unaware! I cancelled my policy with these people at that time. About two weeks later (After canceling) I FINALLY received my home owners policy information... The reason I didn't get it when I was supposed too.. They sent it to my boy friends address, BOYFRIEND, not married & not living together!!! Common sense would say you send it to my address that I just bought, moved into and asked you to make a change of address in your system!! Long story short they mix up peoples accounts. Luckily mine were friends of mine, but I'm guessing they mix up anyone who may have lived at the same address.. Ridiculous. If you are going to use State Farm use a different agent!!

They have insured three generations of my family and have been my insurance agents since I got my drivers license at 17. Nancy, my agent, not only knows my name but who I am as a person and is able to tie that together to make sure my insurance needs are met. When I recently had a small fender bender Nancy took care of filing all of the claims for myself and the other driver so that I never had to worry about anything. When my rates went up after the accident Nancy anticipated my concerns about my rate increase and had already run comparison rates for several companies before I even asked her about it. I can't remember the last time I actually had to call the insurance company because she provides such excellent customer service. When I moved from Cincinnati to Louisville I was even able to keep AM Heister and Associates as my agents because they are licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky and now they also provide my rental insurance as well. If you are searching for the best customer service that the property and casualty insurance industry has to offer look no further than AM Heister and Associates.
