I hired Good Bloke Tree Service to trim branches from my neighbor's tree hanging over my property…read more I was quoted $500 and agreed, expecting a reasonable amount of trimming. Due to my neighbor's concerns, we agreed the work would stay at the property line--but only three or four branches were removed. After paying $500, I realized very little work had been done. I asked if the quote could be reconsidered, but they refused. To make matters worse, their lift left large ruts in both my front and back yard. They came back to "fix" the front yard, but it was poorly done, and I refused to have them fix the back yard. Debris was left behind, and their lift even broke down and sat in my yard. Paying $500 for a few branches removed and damage left behind is unacceptable. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I spoke with a couple of companies and was told August or September and was quoted what i thought were very high service call charges. I didn't feel much "warmth". Until I spoke with N at ProLawn. She was sincerely interested in my problem and put me on the schedule with a note added "should any cancelations" come up, they would call, and the service call fee wasp reasonable. The two man crew came out a few months later (July) and took care of the problem FAST. Yes, the main valve was turned off (by unknown person), and they replaced two broken sprinkler heads, and prigrammed the timer. I can't remember their names, but they are certainly an asset to the company, they moved quickly! Thank you ProLawn for an outstanding experience! I will definitely recommend this company to my family and friends. Richard

Then the workers show up and really didn't seem to know much, spoke no English and brought nothing to protect from spraying into the garden areas or fence. My landscaper had to step in and find a large box cardboard to prevent spraying into the garden. They left slurry on my fences and walkways. Five weeks later the grass did not grow in large areas where the hydro seed was first sprayed and yet the grass areas grew where it had been towards the end of the Surry/seed mix. I think the seed in slurry was not mixed in correctly. I don't know, but the results have been miserable. When we contacted the owner, he wouldn't listen to our complaints. He said if we provided the seed (and I had purchased expensive high quality seed), he was not responsible for any hydro seed results.

I used ChatGPT and Google and luckily found Villa's Landscape Maintenance. I say I was lucky, because there are many businesses, both large and small, in the Medford area. Who to try? I called the number for Villa's and left a message. Shortly after, they called me back and said they could be by my house. at the end of the work day. I told as kept appraised of their eta by text and they were right on time. After giving me a very reasonable estimate, right there on the spot, I was told that they'd look at their schedule and get back to me. How surprised I was the next day! Villa's was able to send a 4 man crew to do the work the next day! Saturday! In no time, the hedge was trimmed and cleaned up and the large shrubs removed. Beautiful work! I was so happy and relieved to have this job taken care of by true professionals. Villa's was polite, respectful of our property and the neighbors' property, removed all cuttings and debris, and spent time answering my questions about future needs. If I don't end up having them do regular maintenance, I certainly will be calling at summer's end for fall pruning! I highly recommend!

Our home has a steep driveway and the trees we located on the back of a sloped mountain side. My husband and I got several quotes for the job. We needed 6 trees removed due to potential damage to our new home. We noticed that several of the contractors wanted to charge us more money because they couldn't drive their boom lift truck up our driveway to help them do less work. How does that make sense? Other contractors gave us the impression that because we live in a nicer area that their outrageous prices wouldn't seem abnormal to us. We were getting quotes for thousands of dollars, it was outrageous. A lot of the contractors liked to ask a lot of questions to get a feel for what seemed to me, how much money we made to figure out how much to charge us. The quotes we becoming a nightmare! The last 2 contractors we saw seemed more honest then most, Tree MD was one of those two. The owner John spoke we me without my husband and took the time to explain the process and why the work would take time. He didn't make me feel because my husband wasn't around that I was being treated unless, like a silly housewife who doesn't know anything. He walked all over my property and did a thorough evaluation for safety for himself and his crew before quoting me the job cost. He made me feel like I mattered as a customer and that he would be careful and respectful of my other plants and furniture I might have outside. A lot of contractors are messy and inconsiderate of home owners belongings and leave trash etc.., but Tree MD isn't one of those contractors. I would highly recommend Tree MD for any tree service if you want an honest and reliable quote. By the way they climbed the trees to cut them down. Steven Velasquez

The second time was a much larger job - taking down two trees (one an 80 ft tall dying cedar tree) and extensively trimming two others. Jose came out and discussed the job, and gave us a number of options on doing the work. The job cost was significantly less than we expected based on other tree jobs we were aware of.
