WARNING: PLEASE READ THIS IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING USING AUDIOMASTERS I paid Peter Politis, the owner of AudioMasters, to put a basic car starter & alarm System, and CarPlay Stereo in my car. Initially, I was pleased with the job he did. Little did I know the personal Hell this transaction would become over the next 18 months. Not only has this man and his team proven themselves to be unable to do the job correctly, but they have also demonstrated through their actions to be dishonest, unethical, unprofessional, and very cruel. The problems with the stereo and alarm systems started almost immediately. The stereo would skip, and different screens would pop up when I would turn the car on, and sometimes the screen would be blank, so I would have to restart the car to get to the stereo. The alarm would sometimes churp different tones, which Peter indicated was a sensor issue, and the starter button would set off my alarm a lot of the time. Fast forward 2024. The alarm stopped working all together so Peter agreed to replace it. ** The second alarm is now malfunctioning ** So many long visits to AudioMasters, I was patient and respectful with this man. The last week in September, 2024, my stereo wireless stopped working, the volume went up and down by itself, screen flashed on and off. The next day, I called Peter. No answering machine, and He would not respond to my texts, I verified he received them. He just chose not call me back. Then the stereo stopped working all together. No CarPlay, no music. After a week of being ignored, I was able to speak with Peter. Peter acknowledged the problem, offered to replace the defective stereo. Another week passed. October 4, I got this text from Peter: "Morning Marcus, Just left the warehouse with the new radio and headed back to charlotte. Ill text you when I'm on the way to you." That was the last time I heard from Peter, or AudioMasters. I spoke with an employee, he put me on hold for 30 minutes. I called back, they have call waiting, they would not pick up. I had someone else call from another number, and they picked up. read more

I'm not sure I can applaud these guys enough for the work they did. I have a 2005 LX470 with Mark Levinson sound system and it had a blown rear subwoofer. If you know anything about the ML system you know it's a total pain in the @ss to replace any component of. No one knows the real ohm impedance of the system plus the shallow mounting of all the speakers makes it very very difficult to find an appropriate aftermarket speaker replacement that will fit in the stock enclosures. Adam checked the speaker with a meter figured it out was different than what we had heard online. To save me some money and give us options he tried a variety of speakers but my amp wouldn't handle anything except the correct powered subwoofer. He figured out what we needed, rush ordered it, dremeled out enough space in the mount, did dynamat around the area to prevent rattle because it's pushing more overall power and more air than the stock speaker. I mean they did total first class work, far and above what we had scoped out initially and at an incredibly reasonable price. More than the good work, I just really appreciate how hard Adam and the guys work to take care of their customers and provide them with a great system that they don't have to bring back in with issues. I've visited and talk to every other car audio guy in Charlotte and the best in Atlanta. I would put Adam's sheer knowledge and problem solving up with any installer I know. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. .First off they claim to be professionals (no degree or any type of technical background when asked, these people are nothing more than your neighborhood handyman. Had just purchased a slightly used car (16k miles) and made an appointment about a week later to have all my previous audio equipment from my previous car (was rear ended and the car was totalled, insurance paid out and I purchased the exact same car and same body style) All the equipment was 100% compatible and I even went the extra mile and disassembled the doors and all the side and center panelling so they wouldn't scratch it up or strip any screws (again I am familiar with the car as on my previous vehicle as the exact same before it was totalled). Made an appointment on the phone a week before and took my car in a week later. Talked to Adam (partial owner) both of the times on the phone. I got there at 10am when they opened and Adam promptly came out and I showed him what needed to be done (door speakers and rear subwoofer) showed him all the equipment and wiring harnesses I had already provided for him, and handed him the keys. As I mentioned previously I had brought all the wiring and speakers with me as I had previously removed them from the same car before it was involved in the accident. I showed Adam that all the paneling had been previously removed by me so it would be a smooth and easy install for them. Everything was layed out perfectly for them all they had to do was wire it up. Keep in mind I took in the car at 10am, I waited there till 4pm and finally asked if the vehicle was done (it had been 6 or so hours later and keep in mind this was probably one of the easiest installs they have ever had considering everything was already removed and I had previously installed and fully wired an aftermarket radio so the subwoofer would just be an easy connection with 2 RCA cables. Adam said he would check on the car and left me to wait for a whole 5 minutes and responded with "they just started on the back speakers". I was then told they had 10 vehicles to do that day and that they were "chipping away at everything at once" ( keep in mind the shop only has 2 service bays). I asked when it would be ready and he mentioned it would be completed by the time they closed (7pm). I returned at 7pm and after waiting for another 15 or so minutes Adam came to the front with my car. After that It took him 10 minutes or so to get the price together and explain to me that one of the cables was broken and that it needed to be replaced by one of theirs (typical for a install shop to do but it was only 15$ or so I was totally fine with it and told him it was ok) and so a few minutes later after typing what seemed to be tons of notes in the computer he finally gave me a price of $430 for the entire job. Keep in mind I had removed all the door panels for them beforehand and the car was not put together whatsoever making it an extremely easy job as I provided them with absolutely everything they needed even down to the correct make and model wiring harness for the speakers. I told him that the amount of hours he is claiming this to take (nearly 5 hours) is inaccurate considering you had 10 cars in a 2 bay garage and when I asked what was done at 4pm (store closed at 7pm) only the rear speakers had been done which is so simple just removing the old screws and mounting the new speaker in the factory drilled holes. None the less I tell him to remove everything which he agreed to (Adam we are speaking of). Afterwards he drives my car back around back and I wait outside another 45 minutes for everything to be removed. He comes back inside with the car only to say that I owe him 150$ for the speakers (that I provided him) as he "cannot remove them once they have been installed" (screwing them in is "installing"). I did not agree to that at all as that is not what we discussed and he immediately got belligerent. He then started claiming that he is not giving back my keys until I pay and that the car is legally his since I gave him the keys (keep in mind we had no agreement in writing or anything). I refused to pay and then he just said "Police were on the way" and then locked himself in the back room. Another 15 or so minutes went by and he was locking the doors to the shop. When I went up to him he was still being extremely belligerent got in my car and started backing it up saying "this is my property" (referring to the car) and that he was taking it around back until I paid (again empty parking lot, car is legally in my name, for all I know he could have driven my car to his house that night, extremely childish and unprofessional to say the least). read more

Do not use these people!! I contracted with them to install a high end system in my 2018 Accord. It was a total disaster!! First, I supplied the major components and was quoted $1200-1400. These guys kept me car for over a month. They never gave me any updates, no calls, no photos, nothing to show what was taking so long. My hands were tied as I live over an hour drive away. I finally stopped by about 3 wks later and they refused to show me anything, but called me when I got back home complaining that one of the speakers was defective. I contacted Morell and arranged a swap. I finally contacted them 2 weeks later and learned the vehicle was ready for pick up. I was floored to learn that the charge was $2400!!! I had no other choice but to swallow it in order to get my car back. On the way home, I noticed a film on the windshield and found there was overspray all over my car. I had just a week prior had the car ceramic coated. The pristine finish was ruined . Adam did offer to fix it but with some shade tree guy he knows. He says the guy has a day job so I'd have to work with him. Other than that, he refused to do anything else. The sound was not right, so I took my vehicle to another installer I knew who had been shut down due to COVID. The entire system had to be redone as the install from Audiomasters was all screwed up. The settings were all off and the wiring was all wrong. Audiomasters used the flimsiest, cheapest interconnect cables that were too short; so they attached low rate connectors which degraded the sound terribly. NEVER HAVE I BEEN SO UPSET IN A TRANSACTION!!! I wd have slapped them with a lawsuit but the hassle and travel was just too much. Buyer beware!!! read more

So the folks at AudioMasters are really fantastic. We did a full end to end system, 3 amps, 3 way components etc. The quality of the wiring and attention to detail was fantastic. They are super easy to work with and have a fun environment. If your getting ready to really invest it some serious audio the team they have put together at audio masters will do what ever it takes to land a great platform. My install had a few challenges due to the complexity of my vehicles charging system. They worked tirelessly to figure out how to solve this and we were able to get everything operating well. I will use AudioMasters in future builds! I'd also add that its really nice to see how these guys pull in different experts into their space to enable a very full service experience under one roof. I wouldn't even give this business one star. I took my car and had tint put on my windows here. A few days after the tint was put on I start closely looking at my windows and see noticeable DIRT under the tint on almost all of my windows. I contact them and try to reschedule to get this fixed. Well I got put off for months, finally when I let them know that I was getting fed up with being put off one of the employees send me a very rude text message back. In the message he said " look lady. I didn't day i won't fix it. I'm at the dentist in the chair. can i please contact u later. Jesus. I will take care of it. since ur the TINT specialist and know that it is dirt I will redo it. no worries. in sorry the scheduling has been messy but I've had a lot going on with my dad beinf sick and me getting two surgeries and everything. I'll message u later" Point is they made a mistake and I just wanted it fixed but they have awful customer service. I'm really bummed to hear about Bethany T's experience. I stopped there today for a non audio related question - long story short I needed help with the repair of an interior trim piece for my car and I knew there was a high likely hood these guys would be able to steer me in the right direction (as that's how you usually wire car audio). Adam was beyond polite and offered me numerous tips and tricks as to where I could go - he knew what the issue was but due to my car design couldn't fix it himself. He offered to help me out when there really was nothing in it for him - that's a good business owner and a good guy. I had the pleasure of meeting these guys yesterday and omfg they are AMAZING! I had a bad experience at Carolina Audio in Monroe so I to go elsewhere to get my amp fixed. I called them around 4ish and told them my problems and the guy named "plumber" answered the phone and told him what my issue was and told me to come on by. When I got there Adam at the front asked what my amp was doing and they took my car back just being there for 2 minutes. Adam kept me in the loop on what was wrong. When the subs were installed the wiring was totally wrong and they fixed everything without any issues. They must be used to taking thier time with installs and charging extremely high prices for basic jobs. I can only imagine what the price would have been if I didnt previously remove the door panels (easily another 2 hours worth of work). I ended up leaving after paying Adam and just finished up the entire install by my self. Took me 2 hours and another 30 to re-install the door panels. Other audio centers wanted to sell equipment to me that I didn't need or want... It appeared all they wanted to do was to move their merchandise, however, Adam at Audio Masters took the time to listen to my "needs and wants" and fitted my car with the ideal equipment. I referred my BF here, because years ago I knew the owner who does solid work. It was my mistake for not texting him prior to my referral. Only after a day of nonsense I texted my friend to ask WTH was going on in his shop, and he apologized and told me he actually sold this company 4 years ago and had a new audio install co now. HE APOLOGIZED for the new owners practice. There wasn't much of an apology from current owner from what my BF told me. Just excuses about busy they were... even though the appointment was made a week in advance. The car was dropped off by appointment at 10am. and told it would be about five hours.. ok seems long but not that bad.. my BFs car was not ready until almost 10pm that night! It was a seemingly simple install. I feel embarrassed I suggested Audiomasters to him. They never called him to let him know why it was taking so long.. he had to call them around 4pm to ask. And Adam (I guess current owner) said it would be around 7pm cause they were so busy.. ok 8pm rolls around no call.. so my BF calls but since the shop is technically closed... it goes straight to VM.. and the VM box is full... obviously we are worried at this point... Adam or shop worker called around 8:45 to say he could come get his car in about 45 min.... I'm sorry, but that is extremely unprofessional. Not to mention today he found scratches on car door.. and issues in the trunk of his car. Speakers sound fine but also weren't purchased from there. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone again to save myself the embarrassment of giving a bad recommendation. Audiomasters if you are reading this I mean no offense, but people deserve to know what they may be getting into. Please do better. This is not a good business practice of overbooking and rushing jobs. Also word of mouth is the best free advertisement and you have lost that from me. Fair and honest. Adam is a stand-up guy who does the right thing. We had a new radio/GPS system installed and there were numerous complications along the way. Adam did not flinch in his focus on making sure we left satisfied, no matter how much time they would spend resolving everything. He does the right thing.
