On the downside the store is a little cramped which means if its busy you might fel a litte claustrophobic but everything is laid out well despite this. Becuase this is one store from a country wide chain its worth taking note of the notice as you enter the store, online prices are often cheeper then the ones in store, if you take in proof of an online price then they will happily sell a product at that price. Whats more they will even refund your parking charges even if you don't purchase anything, as long as you are a genuine customer. Customer service seems second to none but because of the cramped conditions when busy i can't quite give the store five out of five.

Like Sophie C, I was apprehensive about parting with my cash without seeing the physical object I wanted to buy. I was also getting slightly confused between all the new telly talk (having never had to buy a telly before since I was lucky enough to receive a hand me down from my brother about 10 years ago!). The store was easy to find, just a couple of minutes off the M60 motorway. There is no on street parking, but there is a small off street car park just round the corner. The staff were very helpful, answering all my silly questions and helping me select the best set to meet my requirements. I only wanted a small telly and the selection available was far more extensive than some of the other major electrical retailers, and mainly focused on your better known/better quality manufacturers. One of the key benefits of Richer Sounds is the five year guarantee they offer for 10 per cent of the purchase price which is much better value than its main competitors. I would certainly recommend Richer Sounds to others, and will be visiting here again should I need any other AV equipment.

A lot of the things they sell are available through the Richer Sounds website but they usually recommend that you visit the store so that there is no risk of the items getting damaged in the post. This also means you get to actually listen to/watch the the equipment you are interested in before you part with your money. The staff are usually genuinely interested in the products they sell so are very knowledgable and willing to help.

The staff there are really helpful and are always at hand . I love the products from here they are really cheap and sometimes can often beat other retailers . I brought a 5.1 from there a few years back and has major problems with it but richer sounds couldnt be more helpful they tried there up most to find me a diffrent one and at the same price too . The shop itself has easy disabled access and is very clean and well layed out infact its a big improvement from the last shop its the best thing they did moving

I know this because…read morewhen I asked the owner of the company, Julian Richer, why his stores were so small he wrote back in person to inform me that it is in order to keep overheads down and ultimately deliver low prices to the customer. Anyway this personal approach from the director of the company is echoed all the way to the salesmen who, unlike larger chains of electrical stores, actually know what they are talking about. Even more to their credit, the salesmen will tell you if the products they have are not going to be suitable for your needs. Something you don't see all that much these days. The store is not located in the centre of Nottingham and is not situated well for any of the multi storey car parks. However this is not a problem as there are parking slots outside the store and the staff will pay for the parking meter.
