It has been the most gratifying experience we've ever had among his many health-related appointments! Both the first appointment for evaluation, and the second for the fitting, were seamless. My father got his first pair of hearing aids a few years ago. They never fit well, and while they helped, he still struggled a lot and it has been a strain to communicate with him. When Jake put in his new, custom-fit pair, my father's eyes watered. He couldn't believe how much he could hear. He asked me if I was using my normal speaking voice, because he was shocked that he didn't miss a word! When Jake momentarily removed them, my father said that it was like the world suddenly went silent. Jake truly puts his heart into helping people. It would be so great if all medical appointments were even half as kind, supportive, pleasant and efficient as this. My father felt comfortable with the hearing aids set at 60% of their capacity, so there is a lot of room for future adjustments. I'm so grateful that my father will now be able to interact much more than he has for the past several years. It is truly a miracle to regain something as precious as the ability to hear. I feel hopeful that his cognitive abilities will improve, now that he won't be missing so much that's going on around him. Life just got better for both of us!

She has been here for more than twenty years and provided me with excellent care. Just had my annual hearing test after which she made some minor adjustments to my hearing aids to fine tune them for optimum performance under various conditions and settings. She even programmed them to my phone so I can change the settings to varying surroundings as necessary. And Lauri at the front desk, is so friendly and helpful in scheduling or follow up visits. I wouldn't go anyplace else in the Venice area.

The first time I saw Jeff was at his office in Punta Gorda. A day when my only working hearing aid came apart from the ear piece. A time when I was budgeting in between jobs. Seems those are the times most of our machinery have issues. That day Michelle the office manager greeted me, listened to my issue, then dashed off down the hallway. She returned with a box full of ear pieces ranging from all sizes. Each one uniquely different in the slightest variation as far as the eye could see. After several attempts, we managed a temporary solution. Jeff came to the desk to introduce himself. His tall structure and his neatly pressed white coat made his entrance seem like a guest appearance from General Hospital. He listened to my situation and insisted I follow up with him. Our agreement needed no exchange of information. Only a handshake. I returned to his office for my annual hearing test. He remains my primary hearing provider. Unlike the doctors on soap operas. Jeff was someone who believed in old fashioned integrity. His work ethics shows he genuinely wishes to better peoples lives. I suppose it takes a special kind of listening to be a great hearing provider. And sometimes it takes a hearing impaired person to clearly see those qualities.
