Worst car experience I have ever had. They can't even get their email figured out (It's 2023 folks). Response time is awful. Spent a couple hours test driving and getting trade in assessed, asked for follow up on prices on a particular vehicle that I really liked (as I had to leave for a work meeting). Complete crickets from them from that point. Well, big loss on their part. I was going to move out with that vehicle but decided to go elsewhere as I never heard back. Alas. Found something better. What in the world? I had an Appt for an Inspection and an emissions test and now it's 4 hrs later. Staff came across somewhat dismissive and complacent. The power outage only lasted for 45 mins. Not sure I'll be making this my go to dealership. Update-29 June 2020: a simple oil change has now taken 2 hrs. I was quoted 60 mins last week. The customer service is less than stellar. This dealership is full of uneducated or rather poorly educated service advisors and mechanics. I am pretty sure their mechanics are not actually ASE certified but are Audi trained on basic internal combustion engines, and Audi diagnostic tools. For example, I've had to personally instruct their so-called master mechanic on the differences between a stretched timing chain, and carbon fouling. Then I had to explain exactly how the oil consumption issues with their V6 EFI motor, not only directly causes the timing chain stretching but also coking on cams. This 2012 Q5, has been consuming about 1qrt every 1000-1200 miles, Audi claimed it was normal. The vehicle was brought in due to misfiring and oil consumption. Audi refused to fix it until I quoted the class action lawsuit they had. The last straw for me with this dealership and Audi as a whole; my wife's 2012 Q5 has had nothing but issues since we've owned it. On this occasion, we have the CEL misfire cylinder 2. I did some basic troubleshooting, then I replace the coil packs and plugs, the issue remained. So, being that I've isolated the issue to be with only cylinder 2 (bad injector or ECM) my wife brings it to this dealership to get the definitive answer. This dealership gives her a quote for EVERYTHING under the sun but not one thing about the misfire. The SA (service advisor) quotes $11k for upper gaskets, timing chain, valve cover gasket, timing chain guide, and brake fluid. With the exception of the fluid, this was everything Audi had to replace under warranty just 2 years ago (78k miles). Now at 92k all those same items need replacement? When I got on the phone with the advisor, I had him call out the part numbers, when I said "these are the exact parts you all replaced two years ago as I'm reading the service record and parts list, are you saying they either weren't actually replaced or these items are only good for 20k miles and all Q5 are replacing these every 2 years?" When asked about the misfire, the SA stated they needed permission to diagnose the issue and wanted $800 to do a "tear down", $540 to do a leak down test, and $680 for a pressure test. At that point I was pissed, and asked if he thought I was stupid or just that dumb. I further had to explain why would I pay extra when the diagnostic service fee IS for them to tell me what's wrong. Furthermore, if you do a "tear down" why do you need to do a leak down, if you do a leak down, why are you doing a pressure test! None of those tests can tell me why it's misfiring. The SA then claimed the car had old worn out spark plugs and coil packs. When told him to check my record, he should see I purchased 6 new coil packs and 6 plugs two weeks prior, and they were in the motor; he literally hung up... I've reached out to Audi of America, they seem not to like servicing veterans such as myself, and for that reason, we are done with Audi.. read more

I am from out of state. My Audi A3 has had a safety recall with no resolution for several years. When the recall was available to be fixed, I called Audi Arlington because I trust Chris the service rep. I made my appointment and the staff was very polite. The dealership is checking a few other items, such as old, tires, a strange noise and fluids. I was greeted by Louie, he was really helpful. Then I worked with Lunda in the loaner car department and she was super polite, professional and kindly showed me how to use the loaner car because it was different (newer) than my model. I highly recommend this dealership. Totally trust Chris and this dealership. My only suggestion is Chris needs an assistant, he was on high gear and was doing the work load fit for an army. Maybe the dealership could consider hiring some more service reps. Thank you Chris, Linda and the new in take gentleman who all delivered on the Audi brand. read more

This is my second attempt at an oil change. The first time, while I called the day before and was told to come in the next day. They had all my information and I assumed that this was a confirmed appointment upon arrival the next day, I was told that it was not possible and to come back at another time. I tried again today, brought my car in at 7:30 am for a regular oil change and didn't bother with a loaner since they assured me I would have it by then. So I get a message at 4pm asking if they can keep the car till the next day, when I asked for a loaner as I had plans, they indicated it was not possible. At 5pm they sent me a message to say that after keeping the vehicle for the entire day, they can NOT get anything done. STAY AWAY from this place. Drive over to Tysons, they have much better service. Don't listen to the nice words the sales persons give you when they're selling you an Audi, you deal with the sales person 1x and with the service section for the lifetime of the vehicle... read more

We will not do anymore business with these people. We've gotten 3 Audis from them so far. First one we bought and the other two are leased through Audi Financial Services. When we returned our first lease and got a new lease they told us nothing about an inspection and assured us that everything was fine. However, we got an invoice 4 months after our lease return (attached) indicating that we owe this when I was told initially that the dealership was gonna take care of all that and said nothing about a one final bill that we should expect. If we had known, we would've gotten the car fixed elsewhere for lesser amount. Also, as you can see on the bill, that we're being charged for a key which we already returned. We emailed our sales rep. and didn't hear back. So, we called (about 10 times) and spoke with 3 different people, including our sales rep., who all promised a solution. Never heard back from them, never once did they return our phone calls. One time when we called, our sales rep. said that he was looking for the key that we returned, 4 months ago!!! He also asked me what model was my car?! Called Audi Financial Services, who told us that this was between us and the dealership. We already paid the bill, because we didn't want our credit scores to be affected by this. This is a "one and done" place. Not a smart business tactic in our opinion. read more

Initially when I drop the key they said it will take 3/4 hours. I asked for a loner car, they bring be to the loaner department. I was under the impression I will receive a car, waited almost a hour then checked my status, they said there is no loaner car. One person is ahead of me and waiting for car, they started the day with 3 cars. 2. Went to my consultant back and asked as the car is taking long can you please provide me a Seattle service. She checked my status and mentioned it might take 2/3 days. Today is Saturday and Audi is off today. Then I asked should I wait here for 2/3 days to get my car ? 3. They offered me for shuttle service and that will go up to 5 miles, unfortunately my house is 10 miles from here. They offer me $30 Uber reimbursement, I checked one way Uber cost is $32. Moral of the story: I never read the review of Audi Arlington before. My another car company have very good customer support. Even if they don't have car right way they will provide a car from car rental company and asked for apology for not to provide their car. Hence Audi Arlington is different. Can not order over the phone and pay upon pickup (even during the pandemic). Must drive all the way there. Left a message for GM. Did not return call for several days. So I had to walk through entire building (on a banged up knee) to stand in line to order and another line to pay. Had to repeat the process upon pickup. Total scam. I purchased a used Acura from this Arlington Audi location. They advertised a backup camera with the car, and when I test drove the car, the backup camera was fuzzy and I couldn't see out of it. I asked my sales rep about it and he said "Oh, don't worry about it we'll figure it out" and quickly rushed me inside to start the paperwork, thinking I would forget. He assured me that they'd fix the camera. He tried to get me to sign the sale paperwork before it was fixed, and when I refused, he called a service technician over and asked him to "fix the backup camera". The service technician came back and said that he fixed it. When I left with my car, I found out that there was a crack in the lens cover, and that I would end up having to pay out of pocket to fix this. I went back to the dealership a couple of days ago to pick up my license plates, and they told me that they didn't have a front license plate bracket. They told me that since it came from Maryland, I would have to go purchase one myself. Now, I have over $300 worth of items I have to purchase on top of what I paid for the car. They also would not offer me a warranty when I purchase my vehicle. I requested at least a 7 day one, so that I could get the car checked out, which should be standard with any used vehicle purchase. I am severely disappointed with their customer service. We brought our car in for our 10k service, they were low staffed but we were taken care of pretty quick. We walked around the show room, I had legitimate questions about their Q8. I kept looking around and no one looked back or approached us. After about 15 minutes of looking and waiting we left and did some errands while the car was being serviced. This is the 2nd time too!! For a luxury high end dealership we should be treated with high end CS. I can't wait for our next Audi but I don't think I'm going to return to this dealership. Review for service only: DO NOT GET YOUR CAR SERVICED HERE, they are the absolute worst. They damaged my car while it was in their care. Read other reviews here as well to see how others have suffered the same fate. I brought my car in last summer for a windshield replacement and they left my car out in the rain with a broken windshield for weeks, and the car trunk flooded, resulting in damage and mold to the car. AND, almost a year later I am still fighting them on this and my car has been there for a total of four months as they still continue to try and "fix" it. Minimal communication, blowing me off with fake deadlines that the car will be ready and offering me zero compensation for my personal property they damaged that was in my trunk. I am also forced to continue to make lease payments on a car that is in their possession for more than 120 days and I can't drive it. They are the absolute worst. Go to Tyson's or Rockville. It is my biggest regret that I brought my car here and they are a horrible tarnish on the Audi brand. read more

Unfortunately this dealership is a "bait and switch" shop. I purchased a vehicle from them with a warranty. As soon as I closed, they told me the car only came with one key and they didn't have time to fully detail/clean. I had to go to a separate dealer to get a second key made and that dealer discovered engine issues. Despite the warranty Audi Arlington has not covered any costs nor responded to many weeks of outreach - both phone calls and visits to the dealership. When I ask when, told another 40 minutes because I got a software update - the car was recalled and they are updating the software due to the recall. Really? I can see through the windows that the car is sitting there with no one working on it. Service advisor started arguing with me when I'm questioning how come its taking so long when everyone else has come and gone. I have yet to have good service here. I was told my roof racks would be installed when I purchased the car, it wasn't done. When I came in for service and asked to have them installed, I was told it would be $100 extra. Echoing others who say they have had negative experiences with the service department. I have had to bring my Q5 in about 5 times in the 2 years I've had the car, 3 of the times for recalls--bad enough on its own for a new car. Every time I have been disappointed by extremely long wait times, their flawed loaner car process, and the general lack of customer-oriented practices by the employees. During one visit when I was put in the queue for a loaner car, after 45 minutes and noticing that people who had arrived after me were getting called up for their cars, I asked the loaner car counter at the back of the building if I was next. They told me that I was not on the list and I'd have to go back to the service center at the front of the building to get put back on it. A real service-oriented shop would have ensured I was put back on the list without my having to run back and forth between departments. My requests for Audi to rectify the situation were essentially met with "that's not my job" sentiments and I ended up waiting almost 2 hours total to get my loaner after having to do the coordinating myself. It's inefficient and frustrating for the dealership to work in silos and for staff to not be incentivized to do whatever it takes to make the customer experience easier. On most occasions there aren't any loaners available, which means you either have to wait for hours while service is completed, or you can get an shuttle to Enterprise for a rental car. Once I opted for the latter, was told to wait for the next shuttle, and, after an hour of waiting with no sign of a shuttle, arranged for Audi to pay for my Ubers instead. The issue here in addition to the wait time is that the Uber fix was my suggestion and was never offered up by Audi even though they knew how long I'd been waiting and how frustrated I was. The most recent visit I had, I decided to wait--because of course there were no loaners available and I never made it off the waitlist--and ended up spending 4 hours, 2 hours longer than I was originally quoted, of my Saturday sitting in the waiting room. Audi does service by appointment, so a consistent lack of loaners should not be an issue unless they purposely have fewer available than the demand they know they'll have. Maybe this practice saves on short-term costs but it puts a huge strain on customer satisfaction and makes it clear that Audi does not put its focus with owners of its cars. In sum, Audi tries to put itself directly in competition with luxury brands like BMW and Lexus. Purchasers of these cars expect an experience commensurate with the high price they pay for these cars. It's not a stretch to assume that these people also put a high value on their time. If Audi really wants to compete in this market, having customers consistently wait around for hours on end because of poor service operations and having staff without a client-first mindset just won't work. This car will likely be my first and last Audi because despite being fine with the vehicle, I know for a fact (because I've done it before) that I can spend a similar amount of money on a BMW or Lexus and get not only a car I enjoy but also an outstanding service experience. read more

This review comes in light of today's snow day. A few weeks ago my car was in a for a pricey repair. I requested that my car also be detailed inside. My car was ready to pick up about a week and a half later. I am the type of person that unfortunately can be pretty trusting especially when taking it to a place where i trust (at least i thought). Fast forward today, i looked in my trunk for my car snow brush, and it was no where to be found. I KNOW FOR A FACT that it was in my car because the day i last used it was the day (or a few days prior ) when taking it in to get worked on. Its very disappointing to have your trust broken over a missing item in your car and realizing weeks after because it didn't even cross my mind to look in my car for any missing items. Due to this, i will no longer be taking my car into the Arlington location. I will be taking my business to Tyson's or even Chantilly. I receive a call from service the evening of my appointment that they don't have a technician to replace the recalled airbag and they have no loaner vehicles. I'm without a car for 4 days. Absolutely unsatisfied with the integrity of this dealership. I was looking forward to writing a glowing review of the service provided by Audi of Arlington based on the communication provided by the sales representative Esther Nosa. We spoke prior to my hour-and-a-half drive from the Fredericksburg area north up the congested I95. I was advised to use KBB to determine a fair value I could reasonably expect to be offered for my 2021 Audi Q5e that was originally purchased from their dealership. I followed her advice and looked it up. Shared the values listed and asked if I could reasonably expect to receive an offer in that range if I made the drive up. Her response was "Sure come in." Based on that response I felt I was on my way to closing the deal after their expert technician conducted a thorough inspection of the car. Much to my surprise upon arriving I waited over 25 minutes for my car to be taken to the shop to be examined. But 55 minutes later, I was provided an offer. The offer was over $10,000 less than the KBB range that the sales rep had indicated was possible. I figured it had to be directly related to the material condition of my car. I was told first that my car needed new tires, had an issue with the hybrid system, and needed maintenance to replace filters. I asked the team for written documentation noting the tire depth to understand the rationale for needing tires. I asked to know what specifically they meant by a "hybrid system" issue and I asked to know what specific filter needed to be replaced and what method of inspection led to the determination of needing filters replaced. I asked these questions because on 01JUN2023, I had my 20,000-mile service completed at Audi of Richmond using the pre-purchased Audi care, and my state safety inspection completed. At that time my car received a clean bill of health with no issues identified but now just three weeks later I am told my car has issues. All that is to say that the reason for the low offer was not related to the material issues my car "supposedly" had. I spoke with the sales manager Gustoavo and he conveyed that his rationale for the offer was related to market conditions and that he was indeed not using KBB but using another site to establish value. It turns out that the offer could have been provided entirely over the phone because after all was said and done my car is in outstanding shape and they just didn't want to pay the KBB trade-in value for my car as the sales rep had indicated. So when all is said and done I am now in a situation where I have to question the trained and qualified Audi technician that conducted my 20,000 maintenance in that they really did not. Or I have to consider that the Audi tech at Audi of Arlington lied to try and make me think my car had issues not knowing that I just had it serviced at Audi of Richmond. This whole experience has caused me to lose significant confidence in the Audi dealerships. Their tactic of getting me to come in just to lowball me is not only misleading, and dishonest but should warrant serious management concern with how their employees are trained. I advise extreme caution when working with Audi of Alexandria due to my perception of dishonest business practices. I am truly disappointed in my experience. read more

Cons: Poor supervision; long wait time, repeat visit necessary because a mechanic failed to perform a service, and marked it complete. I arrived, and was immediately greeted by a friendly, attentive service rep, David. He checked in my car, confirmed the services I was going to receive, then escorted me to the waiting area and told me "I'll go put you on the list for a loaner, and they'll call your name in a few minutes when they're ready for you"-----THAT WAS THE END OF THE POSITIVE EXPERIENCE. FAILURE #1: Fumbled handoff between Customer Service and the loaner car desk I requested a loaner, online, the day before (they needed to keep my car for a couple of days). Nonetheless, over the next 90 minutes, I waited while 3 other customers were called ahead of me (all of whom arrived after I did). I checked with another customer service rep, who said with a sly grin, "oh, that should just be 10 more minutes". 10 minutes being the amount of time it takes someone in back to dispatch a worker to check loaner inventory, and come back with a tag number and a set of keys to the loaner desk. All of this totally came across as "oh sh*t - quick, put her on the list..." FAILURE #2 - THE DEALBREAKER: They skipped a service, and marked it complete - then sent the car back to me (like any of that was ok). I requested three services- Audi of Arlington told me they had all been completed, and returned my car. The service they refused/forgot/failed to perform.....a *mandatory state safety inspection* (which requires a state issued windshield sticker on completion). The service department manager missed that, and let that car out the door?? Yup. That happened (because I also didn't check). They want to me to come back so they can take another crack at it. I seriously question how many services Audi of Arlington is marking "complete" and not really doing? The staff seems at this dealership is very well versed in "I can see how that would be frustrating" .. but the management there seems inconsistent, at steering work to a fruitful conclusion. read more

Their professionalism and customer dedication really showed when they went out of their way to make the sales process easy and even the after sales process smooth beyond sales. What an awful Audi service place. I've purchased my first Audi in another state and the service there was beyond outstanding but Arlington Audi... if I could give you negative stars I would! I went for a simple oil change with a car wash included. The car was returned: 1. Smelly inside, reeked chemicals and sweat 2. Absolutely unwashed (not inside nor outside) 3. Seat's position was completely changed 4. Rear view mirror was twisted all the way down (obviously intentionally because no one would be able to see anything from that angle). And to add to the injury this "excellent" service was nearly 3hrs wait time. I gave this service place multiple chances to do better but each time they just don't give a sh*t. If anything, good service in VA is pretty much non existent. Should have bought Toyota, I bet they do a better job! read more

I purchased a Q7 for my wife as a Christmas present from Asare who did a great job. However, it had a clear coat protection put on and I noticed the trim on the front passenger windshield was broken. Asare assured me I would get the part and have it replaced on my first appointment. Well, it has been a few months and even after Lucky stated he ordered the part nothing. No phone call and no email to let me know the part came in or they are ready to replace it. This does not speak well for them and at this point they are losing my business. The service rep tried to talk my daughter into a repair that was a cosmetic issue to resolve a rattle (not a safety or performance issue) which cost almost as much as the car was worth. I had to step in as it was clear they were taking advantage of a young person. Unethical. Then they lied about when the car would be ready - waited 1.5 hours to be told to come back the next day. I may not be coming back unless there is someone who is willing to work with its customers on a professional level. I was lied to by one of their representatives. Not only lied to, this representative left to go home and left me in the customers lounge to wait for apparently no more loaners. Empty promises. After missing dinner, missing phone calls from the fiance, and coming home after Audi closed, finally got a loaner. 3 hours to be exact waiting for a loaner. I did not know Audi offers Enterprise rentals and Uber round trips, but did not find this out after the fact waiting three hours, which this representative failed to mention to its customer. I went to this representative multiple times and was not told ",Sorry sir, unfortunately, we are out of loaners. Can I offer [the above]?" Instead, was told you're number two on the list, an hour before I was number four, and then the representative left to go home. Again, after multiple encounters to the representative, no offer and left me high and dry. As I said before, I may not be coming back to this dealership for service, or at least with this representative. The customer service for caring for its customer is out the door already. If you want to get your car appointment done properly, I would not recommend this place- empty promises and people just to get out the door without caring for the customer. read more

I walked in on a Sunday (no appointment). I just wanted to see two different models to compare the sizing and narrow down my choice and maybe even get some info about the two. I wasn't even greeted when walking in the door and walked around the floor for a while and didn't even find what I was looking for. After walking outside and around the lot I didn't see much there either. I can't say I'd go back to this location. I took a chance after reading all of the reviews but I can see now what they were talking about. A zero star would better reflect the service received at Audi Arlington for the past 3 years. Today's incident was another horrible experience. We will no longer visit this business. After many attempts to make an appointment for a diagnostic, we finally were able to make one 3 weeks out. Since the appointment was for 8 am on Friday morning, we dropped the car at the dealership on Thursday evening. To our surprise, the representative told us that it would take 1-2 weeks before getting to our car for service since they do not have enough tehnicians. We asked for a loaner but they said they did not have one, an answer we have been getting for the past 3 years. We inquired about the reason for making an appointment if it is just to leave our car in their parking lot. We were told that the car would now be in the queue for service! We insisted that they perform the diagnostics on Friday, the day of our appointment. Not having heard back from them the entire day on Friday, we called them back on Saturday afternoon. The manager said that the car had not yet been assigned to a technician. Not having a loaner, how is anyone expected to go to work or function for an indefinite period? We have been going to this dealership for the past 3 years and we continuously come out frustrated with the service. A simple oil change takes anywhere between 6 and 8 hours despite having an appointment. They never have a loaner to offer their clients. This is the last time I will visit this dealership. A variety of issues came up with how they've mishandled this situation. Firstly, people in the store outright take off their masks. There seems to be little care for the pandemic policy Audi has set for its the employees. Next, the employee named Christian we had dealt with did not provide any opportunity for me to inform this Audi location that we have an extended warranty plan (which we had purchased through Audi). Despite me informing Audi Arlington that we often deal with another location in Connecticut, there was little communication between those two companies. The lack of communication regarding a warranty that we have resulted in us having to pay an unnecessary $800. Lastly, when it came to payment at the cashier, the team on-site decided to go online with the payment. It added another 20 minutes to our wait here to pick up the car. All of these issues seem to result from a lack of communication among the employees at this location with the rest of the company. Overall, I will never be returning to this location. I'll go somewhere else in the DMV. Incredibly unhelpful staff. read more

My husband purchased his M3 here last week and we had a fantastic experience. Dino took excellent care of him and was very easy to deal with and exceptionally professional. We had our young puppy with us and the dealership was very accommodating and super dog friendly. We got a fantastic deal and the sales manager made sure we were happy with the price. Though the dealership was really busy the day my husband purchased the car Dino went out of his way to streamline the process whenever possible. Even better the hubby walked out with a better financing rate the he had secured initially thanks to the finance staff. Overall a great (dog and wife friendly) car purchasing experience! read more

As an Audi driver a huge perk is the Audi dealership service and maintenance. They quoted us way over three grand and we brought that price down by about 600 bucks via price match. Make sure to research the parts to see if you can also get a price match. They have great customer service representatives, complimentary snacks in their waiting lobby and complimentary loaner cars. read more

I wanted to leave a review for Mr. Anderson & Mrs. Shorter. This was my first experience buying a car on my own and they made it an amazing experience from beginning to end. I have been to 3 different dealerships looking for a car and felt like my concerns and questions were being ignored but not here. They were very patient with me with my many questions and specific request. I could not have asked for a better team.
