I know his bedside manner is not for everyone, but it works for me. I truly believe he is in it for the right reasons. As a matter of fact, when I was in the waiting room, I witnessed an interaction between him and Jackie (his nurse). Schumer just came out of a room from seeing an elderly and very physically challenged gentleman that had a hard time walking and couldn't stand up straight. When he came out of the room, he told Jackie to be sure he had food at home and if he didn't to make sure and get him some. The man has a heart!! Oh, and he knows his stuff!!

Other than being a bit inconvenienced, I didn't question it until I received the $150 bill for a doctor visit. I don't have any life threatening diseases or terminal illnesses, so why? Dr Kulakivskiy called me herself with a very unprofessional tone accusing me of not coming in to see her unless I am demanding pain medication.. this happened after she called my sister about a year prior and told her exactly the same thing and left my sister in tears. I was shocked... I wanted to cry and didn't know what to do.. I have never once received any pain medication from them.. I have heard for people that stopped going to her office that would let her know that they're switching providers and that she would all of a sudden change from a nice lady and start yelling at them . Her accusing me of asking for pain medication's, and raising her voice at me over the phone, was very unprofessional and rude, and I will never return. I have waited over a year to leave this review, but has to be done so people know what can happen.

I'm here today for my annual exam and I'm over-hearing the nurses talking loudly about a notice coming through about a patient who is sick and in pain (stabbing burning pain). The message was apparently not clear to them and they apparently didn't know what to do with it, but the message was read out loud numerous times, at one point there was a lot of laughter about it even though the message was about a painful condition. I was shocked when one employee shouted out the patients name, or at least that's what it sounded like. I was in the waiting room and heard all this. Anyway, I'm glad it wasn't me they were talking about, and i hope they don't laugh at my messages like that, and holler out my name. Geez!!! I'm more than a little worried about it.

Dr. Troncales is a geriatrician who is caring, thorough and knowledgeable. She is my mom's PCP. My…read moremom is hard of hearing and Dr. Troncales has been extremely patient with her. She frequently makes sure that she was able to address my mom's questions and concerns. My mom is a retired physician and although quiet during appointments, she usually tells me a lot after every appt. She has been nothing but satisfied with Dr. Troncales. She appreciates that she does not feel rushed. She is grateful that she has gotten established with a physician who is so passionate about helping the older population.

THE LAB HERE GAVE US *CONFIRMED* INCORRECT LAB RESULTS on 2 separate occasions, resulting in my…read morehusband in the ER. We are still stuck with the bill even though THEY CAUSED HIS SYMPTOMS & COULD HAVE KILLED HIM!! The lab on the main floor did not process my husbands labwork correctly, resulting in his cardiologist changing his medications. 36 hours later he was admitted to St Joes ER (also a Franciscan facility) with heart attack symptoms (BP ~210/107, tingling arm, nausea, etc). According to the ER Dr, his admittance into the hospital was a direct result of of the medication changes made by his cardiologist, based on the incorrect lab results. We followed back up with the cardiologist at this location. He admitted his own family had stopped using the lab there, as they were unhappy with results from there as well... Nonetheless, we cautiously had his blood work done a second time, again resulting in incorrect numbers. We then got a 2nd, 3rd & 4th blood draw at 3 other labs not Franciscan labs. It was confirmed his results from that lab were incorrect. We contacted a patient advocate with Franciscan. Concerned that if this lab processed one patients labs incorrectly twice, it was easy to assume it was happening to others. After 4 months of internal investigation, they admitted the same person processed both samples, retraining was done, but we were still liable for the $5000 bill at the ER ($2000 insurance, $3000 out of pocket, $21000 contractually written off). Even though the Drs decisions, based on INCORRECTLY PROCESSED blood samples, almost KILLED him; we are still responsible for the bill to save his life. A bill from the exact same corporation.

Adequate staff at the reception area on the 2nd floor. I have always have had a great experience checking in for my appointments. Received very good customer service from the staff. My personal experience seeing the Nurse Erin and Dr. Garcia have been excellent! They were really attentive to my needs, cared about my well-being and explained what I needed to do for the future to improve my health. Basically my advice is to take the good with the bad. Treat her with true respect and she will do the same for you. She is never going to be a hand-holder, so if you want sympathy, find someone else. Sometimes the truth hurts. She is No-Nonsense and Very Direct. I never found her to be uncaring, just a little awkward around emotional people. Cry because your foot hurts and she's ok. Cry because your heart hurts and she will find a way to get out of the room. If she is mistaken--don't accuse her of being wrong--Let another doctor tell her that. Suggest that you think there is a misunderstanding and start over by stating your illness and what you think you need. If that doesn't work, ask for a referral to a specialist that handles your particular problems. She was absolutely wrong about one of my problems so I had to go to an emergency wound care clinic. The wound care director called her from my cell phone and told her exactly what was going on and what she should do, then handed the phone to me. She apologized honestly and took care of business as she had been instructed. I live in California now and wish I could find a doctor as genuine as she is. I'd rather have mean and honest over coddling and disingenuous any day.
