I am a new resident of this apartment complex, and it has been nothing but stressful. My husband and I have had multiple issues back-to-back throughout our entire move in. We toured the property 5/18, we toured with Staci. We loved everything during the tour, we went over pricing, went over different layouts of 2 bedrooms. Staci informed us the layout we liked with the fenced yard was the more expensive one (as it should be, more square footage, fenced yard), the following week my husband and I decided we wanted to call this place "home" we fill out the application, I kept in mind the apartment we wanted was the more expensive one so that is the apartment I chose during the application process, we get an email regarding how much our deposit would be and monthly rent. During our tour Staci informed us of the current special the property was having, and it was to have 8 weeks free, sounds like a good deal right? We thought so as well, had I known what event would follow I would have never even toured/considered this property. The next day Staci emails us our move in costs which are much higher than what was discussed at the tour. Staci informs us the rent for June was due at move in which is kind of odd and money hungry like to ask for June rent when it is not even June. (Yes, I am aware, June was just a few days away, however are current residents required to pay rent 2 days early? No, they are not.) Anyways, the apartment manager Liz informs us that if you sign your lease after the 15th of the month the following months' rent is due before you move in. I have never in my life ever heard of that and I have lived at luxurious properties. Anyways, paying rent through their app is very complicated and frustrating, you can't pay from ACH without a fee (weird not even Banks who finance auto loans require a fee for ACH payment). I also want to note we were approved on Wednesday 5/24 and we did not hear from our leasing agent until move in day 5/30. I had several questions regarding our move in and the only woman in the office was Shannel and she was very rude and did not possess any customer service skills, when I would ask her a question, her response was very dismissive she told me my leasing agent was gone for the holiday and to call back on Tuesday. (I understand people have vacations they need time off that's not my issue, my issue is the lack of communication amongst residents and leasing professionals, and amongst leasing professionals to leasing professionals.) Okay, let's fast forward to move in day, we don't get our keys until 5 pm, which in turn caused us to be moving in alllllll night we literally did not get to bed until 5 am the next morning. So even though we are paying the more expensive price for the 2-bedroom unit, our unit does NOT come with a fenced yard, the fenced yard was the only reason we were willing to pay the extra price. It doesn't make sense to me how that was lost in communication or why they had all 1st floor units marked as units with fenced yards. We try to connect our electrical services and Coserv informs me that I need a certificate of Occupancy within a few days to continue services, (another thing I have never heard of, but the coserv representative told me it was required by the city of little elm, which okay is fine, she also told me the property would be able to provide this documentation to me) I inform Liz of this and she says she will take care of it and call Coserv to get them what they need, well days go by and I get an email from coserv saying they have not received the certificate, I forward the email to liz to which she then tells me that it is not required and she has never had to do that, Okay cool whatever that's not a big deal but why say you are going to do something and not do it, or not say anything about the situation until AFTER I had to email you. On Wednesday I informed Staci, we were having issues with At&t apparently this is a connected community, not sure what that really means, but Staci tells us multiple times Liz is going to call At&t because of the issues, well I email Liz and she tells me she is not calling at&t and it's not her responsibility to call them. I get it it is not but when At&t tells me multiple times the property must call to activate services, who is lying to me? Sigh, it's frustrating and I can't help but feel played. lied to, and overall disregarded. I hope maybe this can get resolved but seems like I can't even get an email response without sending multiple emails, I hope maybe after seeing this review I can get a response or something to feel at home in my new home. read more
