First off I wanna say that I liked how nice I was greeted when first visiting this shop.........but all changed shortly after that. 8/6/26 I went in to Felix Automotive to see if I could get my car looked at and was told he couldnt do it til Monday. so I went down dropped my car off on Monday 8/10/26 @10am and was told he couldnt get to it til the morning which would be Tuesday the 11th (today). At this point I left my car so he could do it first thing in the morning. So I called about my car at about 11am today 8/11/26 and was told he was pulling it in tothe shop right now to look at it. Called back to see what was going on around 2pm and was told the car would be done at 3pm. 3pm rolls around I call and was told he wont have it done til 4:30pm at which I said I cant have my car gone for another day cause I have work. At this point nobody has even looked at my car. So I talked to his daughter on the phone and I told her I needed the car for work I already missed today cause of not having my car. I jumped on the bus and went down to Felix Automotive and walked in, Larry asked if I needed the car and I said yes so I can get to work. I then asked if he has looked at it and he said no and told me S**T HAPPENS. At that point I asked if he cursed at all his customers and I got Larry in my face pointing at me with his finger. At this point I asked why he didnt call me and tell me he was busy and I could have took it somewhere else. I of course used the f word a few times but never towards Larry just in the frustration of the situation. Larry then went on to tell me F**K YOU with both his arms crossed like the old days. If you were busy you could have said you were busy not just leavy car there to sit. I would not recommend a place of buisness like this, if he will tell me FU, he will tell you FU also!

We brought my daughter's 2014 Ford Focus to this shop because it would not start. After their inspection, we were given an estimate and authorized the repairs they said were necessary. During the process, we were then informed that the clutch also needed to be repaired, which significantly increased the cost. Although this wasn't part of the original estimate, we agreed because we wanted the vehicle repaired correctly and trusted their professional diagnosis. By the time everything they recommended was completed, we had spent approximately $3,700. Unfortunately, after all of those repairs, the vehicle still was not operating properly. We then had the car towed back to the shop because the original problem had not truly been resolved. At that point, we were told the issue was actually the fuel pump. This was incredibly frustrating because after spending thousands of dollars based on their recommendations, another major repair was suddenly needed. It left us questioning whether a thorough diagnostic had been performed in the first place. As a customer, I understand that older vehicles can develop multiple problems. However, when a shop performs a diagnostic and recommends thousands of dollars in repairs, I expect those recommendations to be based on a complete and accurate assessment. Instead, it felt like we addressed one expensive issue after another without ever getting to the root cause. I reached out to the owner in writing, hoping we could have a productive conversation and work toward a reasonable resolution. While I appreciate that they did respond, I was extremely disappointed that there was no acknowledgment of the financial burden this created and no offer of any reimbursement, credit, or goodwill adjustment after we had invested so much money and still ended up with a vehicle that was not repaired. Ultimately, we made the difficult decision not to move forward with the additional fuel pump repair because we had already invested more into the vehicle than it was worth. I encourage anyone considering this shop to ask detailed questions about the diagnostic process, request in detailed writing all testing that has been done.

I live in Clovis, CA, and work as a traveling sales executive, which means my vehicle is essential to my job. I put a lot of miles on my cars and regularly rely on auto shops for both routine maintenance and repairs. That's why I feel confident recommending Clovis Auto Shop. They are an outstanding group of people--friendly, courteous, and straightforward in their communication. I've worked with Manuel, Raul, and the owner, Ron, and every interaction has been positive. Whether it's basic services like oil changes or more advanced work such as engine or transmission repairs, they consistently deliver high-quality service. What truly sets them apart, however, is their honesty and integrity. On several occasions, they have gone above and beyond in ways that many shops simply wouldn't. For example, I recently brought in my Ford Expedition because it wouldn't start. Initially, the issue was misdiagnosed, and an expensive engine procedure was performed. Once they realized the mistake, they immediately informed me and did not charge me for the unnecessary work. My bill dropped from nearly $1,000 to about $264. That level of honesty is rare--they could have easily charged me, and I would never have known. In the end, they correctly fixed the issue, and my car has been running perfectly. Another instance happened a few years ago with a different vehicle. Clovis Auto Shop installed a Jasper rebuilt engine with a 4-year/40,000-mile warranty. The engine failed early in the fourth year, even though the mileage was still low. Both the shop and I felt this was unusually premature. Instead of leaving me to deal with it on my own, they advocated on my behalf with Jasper and secured a very favorable deal on a replacement engine. They could have simply said "tough luck," but they didn't. Experiences like these are why I consider Clovis Auto Shop to be one of the most honest and reliable shops around. I did not make an appointment but I was in and out in 30 minutes. I waited in their clean waiting area that had a tv, complimentary coffee and snacks. The girl at the front desk was friendly and efficient. The cost was very reasonable. Out the door $55.
