We stayed in Room #2 which had king sized beds on the main level and in the loft. The beds were very comfortable. The large bathroom had heated floors and a very nice shower. There were plenty of towels and supplies-soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There is a mini fridge in the room. Also, tea bags and French Press coffee. We enjoyed sampling the beer before ordering a full pour. I particular liked La Bicknell, an IPL. Of course, Jane did a flight of beers. And, the cocktails were delicious, as well. After exploring the town, we decided to eat in their pub. There was live music that night, which was delightful. We shared Forestry Poutine-if you go to Canada & don't get poutine, did you really go? This was probably the best poutine I ever had. And, the portion size was so generous that we didn't need to order anything else. The room came with breakfast. So very good! I had the Club Wrap that was top notch. Jane had The Brewer's Little Hunger. The meals came with home fries & Jane got toast & baked beans with hers. The coffee was very good. While we were a bit nervous about bringing our city-slicker germs to the kind folk of the Eastern townships, I'm glad we got a night out of town in this very well-maintained and COVID-observant hotel. The hotel room is exactly what had been advertised: a nice view of Mount Orford, full kitchenette, comfy queen bed with a gas fireplace. The whole package lent itself to a thoroughly indulgent and very romantic night with a perfect balcony-view of the stars. The check-in was very smooth with staff in full-filtered masks and 2 metre spacing indicated on the floor. Check-out was exceptionally simple: you call reception and tell them you're heading out and leave the keys in the suite. No contact, no problem. As for the spa amenities that would be typically included with the room- given the circumstances a lot of the regular water circuit features are not available. What is currently available is the heated outdoor pool, several single-family hot tubs (for 15 min max) and a relaxation yurt. I don't know if it's because of COVID standards but I found the hot tub a little tepid for my tastes but otherwise very nice and clean. The relaxation yurt was also very clean, with soft music, chamomile tea and a big fire in the middle, although I found the sound a little annoying (nearby highway and people hanging out in the pool). All in all, the water circuit features available were thoroughly enjoyable with limited people and zero crowding.

The highlight of this place, in my opinion, is the open air hot tubs which we were very fond of, especially with the freezing cold air temperature outside. There is also a non heated outside swimming pool which was unfortunately closed due to recent high wind. Inside is a swimming pool and a hot tub. Dinner at the restaurant was exquisite. Service impeccable. Best Pudding Chômeur ever. Breakfast, the next day, was well over expectations in terms of the variety ranging from pancakes on order to smoked salmon, hot dishes like beacon, sausages, potatoes and an impressive variety of other yummies too many to mention.
