The restaurant is pretty spacious and like other reviews mentioned, is quite dimly lit. Knowing that, I asked to be seated where there was lighting (Oh the better to see you with, my dear...food) and the waiter willingly obliged. I loved the artwork in the resto by Marie-Lyse Beaudoin. The two to three separated dining areas gave the place a real intimate feel. We had the two colored soup of the day: half beet and half broccoli and oh boy was it delicious! It's kind of fun trying to take the soup without letting it mix together. Then came the smoked trout with a small side of salad. The trout was so smooth and salted just right but it was a small piece and I wanted more!! When you're in the Eastern Townships, you simply cannot NOT eat duck! I ordered the Duck Duo and I'm about to shed a tear it was flavored so nicely with maple and balsamic on half and parmentier of duck confit on the other. I gobbled it up like a hungry woman :) Other reviews said to try the lamb from the classic menu so we said what heck, bring me some lamb. That crispy coated lamb chops are so well seasoned, you'll even want to nibble it off the frenched ribs. I know I did. I'm a fan of crème brûlée so whenever I see it on the menu, my stomach tells me I gotta order it to try. This one did not disappoint. Overall, this was such a lovely, memorable experience. I would love to go back again!

Our room was comfortable with a nice morning breakfast provided. The owners were so pleasant especially with their help after a slight mishap in our vehicle after an extremely cold night...an exploded can of diet pepsi! They immediately provided us with a bucket of hot water and cloths to clean our mess...even willing to keep changing the water! We so appreciated we were here and not a hotel and they shared a good laugh with us after the clean-up was done! We will definitely plan another stay in Magog and it will be at Le Chateau Du Lac!

We stayed in Room #2 which had king sized beds on the main level and in the loft. The beds were very comfortable. The large bathroom had heated floors and a very nice shower. There were plenty of towels and supplies-soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash. There is a mini fridge in the room. Also, tea bags and French Press coffee. We enjoyed sampling the beer before ordering a full pour. I particular liked La Bicknell, an IPL. Of course, Jane did a flight of beers. And, the cocktails were delicious, as well. After exploring the town, we decided to eat in their pub. There was live music that night, which was delightful. We shared Forestry Poutine-if you go to Canada & don't get poutine, did you really go? This was probably the best poutine I ever had. And, the portion size was so generous that we didn't need to order anything else. The room came with breakfast. So very good! I had the Club Wrap that was top notch. Jane had The Brewer's Little Hunger. The meals came with home fries & Jane got toast & baked beans with hers. The coffee was very good. We were very impressed with Auberge Sutton Brouerie and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommended without hesitation.

Although the place shows a tired look, it was reasonably clean. The suite was spacious with a small kitchenette equipped with a fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, basic cutlery and glassware. There is an outside gas BBQ and some garden chairs. The highlight of this place, in my opinion, is the open air hot tubs which we were very fond of, especially with the freezing cold air temperature outside. There is also a non heated outside swimming pool which was unfortunately closed due to recent high wind. Inside is a swimming pool and a hot tub. Dinner at the restaurant was exquisite. Service impeccable. Best Pudding Chômeur ever. Breakfast, the next day, was well over expectations in terms of the variety ranging from pancakes on order to smoked salmon, hot dishes like beacon, sausages, potatoes and an impressive variety of other yummies too many to mention. So many desserts. A feast for the eyes. Would totally recommend this place.
