I chose the 46€ menu that was more than enough for two people. Thankfully my husband only ordered an a la cartel lobster. Going outside of my comfort zone I decided on the Scallop Carpaccio and it was absolutely divine. Thinly sliced scallops served with a yellow pepper coulis and caviar. The lobster comes with your choice of one of their four sauces. Wanting to stay out on that limb, we chose the Whisky and the Pastis sauces. I am so glad we did. We live on Cape Cod MA and this was hands down the best lobster dinner ever. Lastly, or so I thought; was a cheese course consisting of a trio of local cheeses. Then came dessert of the day. This was a trio of Apricot Mousse, Raspberry sorbet and not your normal chocolate cake. All three were superb. You will not be disappointed when dining in this intimate restaurant. We appreciated the fact that the waitress who served us spoke enough English to help us make our choices, but was also happy to help us with our pronunciation of French. We chose the middle-priced menu option, and enjoyed all our choices - we were particularly impressed with the lamb that was a special on the day. We were able to grab lunch there two of the days during our stay. I've written about one of our lunches. Food: My husband was in the mood for escargots and they had them on their dinner menu. The man was nice enough to make them for him for lunch. They tasted ok, but needed a bit more garlic. I ordered the croque monsieur which was also just ok. We ordered ice cream for dessert. Drinks: We ordered two oranginas and two small coffees. Price: 37.50 euros for two people. Ambiance: No ambiance. Just a simple cafe on the street which is sad because there's so much potential with this place. Service: The husband is the front of the house and is actually quite rude. Don't come here for the hospitality and it will be beneficial if you speak French. Would I go back? If it was anywhere else in the world I wouldn't go back because the food is mediocre and the service is rude. But since there aren't many options at Crillon Le Brave I would unfortunately find myself there if I wanted something simple to eat.

The owner and (I think) his wife are friendly, service is prompt, and the food was very good. You can sit on the patio in the sun or under shade as well as inside. It's a small bistro, casual, not expensive, and based on all the restaurants we dined at in a week in Provence I give it four stars as a bistro with good food in a very beautiful location.

Simply we love it!…read more We were for one day in Montbrun les Bains and it was recommended by the man where we accomodated. We were lucky to get a table, because we went without a reservation. The atmosphere was great, the services were very good and the food yammy yammy, very tasty. We took menu a la carte, for 26 euro/ person we got entree, 2 nd meal and dessert. Everything was absolutely delucious:) First photo, tomato with bufallo cheese and pesto, second pic is foie gras and last one is gambas! Yammy yammy We truly recommend it!!
