Once you're finally inside, the staff is super nice and efficient (it helps having only a few things on the menu), and the salad is very refreshing after waiting so long to eat. The house red wine is very good, too. The steak comes rare, medium, or well done. If you usually go for medium-rare like I do, I recommend going rare. It was perfectly pink on the inside but still had a good bite. The steak is excellent, and the sauce is to die for. And the French fries? Out of this world. It may seem a little gimmicky that they refill your plate, but you'll be so happy with how good the food is, it doesn't matter. I used the fries to scrape the plate clean. I was sadly too stuffed to try the dessert, but it looked fantastic. Definitely recommend getting to the restaurant before they open and waiting out the line -- the steak and fries are more than worth it!

I am changing my mind by 2 stars. Its a gimmick but I enjoyed it. Sitting outside in Paris with a thin little piece of steak with a very nice sauce with some french fries soaking up all of the (everything) is not a bad way to spend a night. Oui?

Unfortunately, they don't let you eat a full meal at the bar, only snacks. We waited for a cancellation, and ultimately the bartender was able to speak to the manager and find us a table! The French chateaubriand was outstanding, perfectly cooked and with a flavor profile completely different than American beef. Side dishes were well made and tasty, and the wine list solid. The sommelier was particularly helpful; she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and took great care of us. Professional service, high end dining, and an excellent menu. Highly recommended.

And I did choose it for that alone. I'm not a huge foodie, I have a stomach condition that tends to take a lot of joy out of eating for me, so I look for ambiance more than anything. We booked an early lunch while on our honeymoon, and I'm so glad we did. It was basically empty. We were given a choice between the "Main Room" or the front room (there is also a bar/lounge area), trust me you want the main room. Because I booked an early time slot we mostly had the room to ourselves. There was only one other table in use (and it turned out to be one of the chefs dining with his family) We both got the same item and we both loved it. I get my steak medium well (sorry lol) and it was a little too pink for me. Before I had to ask our server came back to check and swiftly took it back with no judgement at all. We also both loved our desserts. This is really random, but the women's bathroom smelled incredible. they had a custom candle going that was "tea"scented and it was INCREDIBLE. I stood there smelling it and even took a photo to try to source somthing similar. I fully expected a really pretentious atmosphere but thats not really what we experienced. It was confortable and elegant, but not stuffy. If it helps, I wore a blazer as a top and leather pants with chunky loafers and didn't feel under or over dressed for lunch. We will absolutely be back for dinner on our next trip to Paris but I do reccoend it for lunch to see the Min room in it's full glory. While I have never been there at night, it does seem less vibrant in the evening, and agin i was there for the atmosphere and was pleasantly surprised by the food.

Such a beautifully decorated place and so cozy feels like home. I definitely recommend the marinated zucchini my favorite alongside the merlon steak with a side of sautéed veg! the pargit is also really great with the crispy skin and homemade garlic sauce. The staff is very helpful explaining dishes in English and making good recommendations. Fumé has a nice selection of wines. We began our meal with a perfectly sized appetizer Pois chiches citron confit with fresh pita that delighted our pallets and prepared us for what was to come next. The hummus also looked very good as well. For our entrees we had the Filets de bar fumé (fish with vegetables) and Steak de thon fumé (steak with a peppercorn sauce and grill artichokes). The fish and vegetables were amazing. The fish was flaky with an amazing fresh taste to it along with perfectly cooked mix of carrots, zucchini and other veggies. My cousin said it was her favorite meal in Paris. I had the steak with grill artichokes. This is the only complaint I had of the meal - the steak was tough and chewy. I'm use to my steaks being tender and soft, sadly this one was not. However, the accompanies peppercorn sauce was delicious along with the grilled artichokes which were amazing. We ended our meal with a spectacular Mousse au chocolat aux sels fins fumés. It was rich in flavor and silky in texture. A must have. Overall, we had an amazing meal, made new friends with locals eating next to us and Fumé's owner Sasha. A must go when in Paris. Merci Taimy & Yvette
