Unfortunately we had to personally use them because our 2 year old son passed away suddenly. He passed on a Friday, he had to be autopsied and therefore on Monday we contacted the funeral home to set up an appointment. I know no matter who passes it is always very hard for the family, and finding someone with compassion and understanding to handle all of this was vital although at the moment we didn't realize it. Our meeting was set for Wednesday and we learned our son wouldnt be released from the coroner until at the earliest Friday. My family all live a state away and so we had hoped to have his funeral on or near a weekend so they could attend his funeral and Wilson's made it happen. All the employees we met with were very understanding, never rushing us, finding out information on all the questions we had, while we were there. They worked with us on price and helped us to be able to honor our baby boy in the best possible way we could afford. I have never planned or even helped plan a funeral so I am not sure what is normal or not, but given the circumstances we were incredibly grateful to the owner and employees for the time and care they gave our son. Everything went smoothly and they let us have all the time we needed without rushing us. They worked well with our pastor who is from out of state as well and accommodated all he needed. I would recommend Wilson's to anyone who unfortunately may need a funeral home. They were great, delivering all our flowers to our door while we were at the reception afterwards so we didn't have to drive them home ourselves. They even hand delivered a plant that came a week later. Thank you to everyone there. You went above and beyond anything we could have asked for.

The grounds are very clean and properly maintained…read more This cemetery has a lot of my relatives on my mothers side who passed away which makes this cemetery even more special as it is my ancestors they I have met and some I haven't met. My family and I brought my nieces to meet their great grandma and great great ancestors for the first time which surprisingly they behaved. My mother told stories and surprisingly there were a lot of people doing the same. It is always niece to remember the loved ones and share the memories for generations to come. My family and I are planning on coming back to celebrate the life of those we lost through sharing memories and living in their history for a few hours.

The entire…read moreprocess from beginning to end was such a smooth process especially because I live in Yuba County, almost a 2 1/2 hr drive. I initially went in to start the process with Jon, explained everything that we wanted and the deadline we needed the headstone by, the rest of my communication with Jon was thru text messages and by phone sometimes if more clarification was needed when we were designing the headstone, adding this and that or removing something, all done by text message and Jon was very patient thru the whole process because every detail creating our headstone had to go thru approval from me to all my siblings. There was no limitation to what they couldn't do. Jon also very knowledgeable about the type of headstone he would recommend due to the hard water in Central Valley cemeteries, he wanted us to have what was best for years to come that will last and not fade away in a year or less. The actual day we went to see the actual headstone, just blew us away, the back of my parents headstone was breathtaking! The images of my parents matched the picture to a tee! We just had the unveiling of the headstone and the 1 year memorial celebration for my parents and the compliments that we received from everyone in attendance saying how beautiful it was, some had never seen that type of design and everyone took pictures with their families posing at the front and back of my parents headstones. When we called Tanner, he met us at the cemetery the next day and we arranged to go to his shop the following day to look at his work and place our order. We ordered a headstone, bench and marker for our daughter to be placed in our newly purchased family plot. We felt the quoted price was fair and reasonable. In fact, our items were completed in a few weeks and Tanner invited us to come up the shop to see the finished products. Needless to say, they were exactly what we wanted!! We further discussed the curb/wall that we wanted due to the hilly nature of the cemetery. Tanner was very honest with us when he explained that his current workload would not allow him to complete that work by the timeline needed to bury our daughter's cremains on her birthday. We appreciated the referral he gave us for another contractor. Unfortunately, the quote we received was much more than we could afford, so we decided to tackle the project ourselves. Over the course of the next 2 1/2 months, we spoke with Tanner in person and via email SEVERAL times and he was always kind, supportive and helpful. Since my husband and I were working at the cemetery almost every day, we saw Tanner and his crew a few times. They came over to see what we had accomplished, gave suggestions and told us that we were doing great job (much needed encouragement since we had never done anything like it before). When we talked with them about our daughter, it seemed that they genuinely cared about her and the loss our family had experienced. It was if they were old friends, sharing in our grief. As our daughter's birthday approached, Tanner and his team delivered our items, installed them and wished us well. It was a comfort to see such caring people who truly love what they do. The high standard they have for their workmanship is impeccable, their job is physically demanding and difficult and kudos to them for being a resource for people during one of the most difficult times in their lives.
