First of all, if I could give them a 10 star rating or more, I would! Five stars just doesn't seem to be enough. We lost our 28 year old daughter in February 2023 after a long illness. When we called Tanner, he met us at the cemetery the next day and we arranged to go to his shop the following day to look at his work and place our order. We ordered a headstone, bench and marker for our daughter to be placed in our newly purchased family plot. We felt the quoted price was fair and reasonable. In fact, our items were completed in a few weeks and Tanner invited us to come up the shop to see the finished products. Needless to say, they were exactly what we wanted!! We further discussed the curb/wall that we wanted due to the hilly nature of the cemetery. Tanner was very honest with us when he explained that his current workload would not allow him to complete that work by the timeline needed to bury our daughter's cremains on her birthday. We appreciated the referral he gave us for another contractor. Unfortunately, the quote we received was much more than we could afford, so we decided to tackle the project ourselves. Over the course of the next 2 1/2 months, we spoke with Tanner in person and via email SEVERAL times and he was always kind, supportive and helpful. Since my husband and I were working at the cemetery almost every day, we saw Tanner and his crew a few times. They came over to see what we had accomplished, gave suggestions and told us that we were doing great job (much needed encouragement since we had never done anything like it before). When we talked with them about our daughter, it seemed that they genuinely cared about her and the loss our family had experienced. It was if they were old friends, sharing in our grief. As our daughter's birthday approached, Tanner and his team delivered our items, installed them and wished us well. It was a comfort to see such caring people who truly love what they do. The high standard they have for their workmanship is impeccable, their job is physically demanding and difficult and kudos to them for being a resource for people during one of the most difficult times in their lives. Boones stalled for over 6 months to do my grandfathers grave site . contract signed june 2022 with knowledge of a month or 2 wait . touched basis monthly and was told over and over" next month " . paid deposit in June 2022 , sure did not have a problem cashing the check quickly . finally told end of Oct 2022 , next project on the schedule . Dec came and no job start , not even a phone call to say something came up . do your self a favor and don't wast your time with this company . got deposit back and did not even fill out the check correctly , expected me to fix the check ( that is check fraud ) . Instead call Sierra memorial for your head stone needs and John Bernasconi for your site prep and development . they WILL get the job done , communicate any issues with you timely and not drag things out . both are men of their word . read more
