I've been a customer of Madrag's Lawrence location since the day they opened. I was really excited,…read morebecause they had a decent plus-size section and their prices were cheap. Sadly, I have to give them only 2 stars now, because of these issues: 1) Almost non-existent plus-size area - When they first opened, they had a good selection of clothes to go through. Now? Just a bunch of overpriced t-shirts, wide legged jeans, and maxi-dresses - No thanks! 2) Rude Staff - As someone who worked in retail, I understand feeling frustrated when people come in minutes to closing time. But, I would never, EVER in a customers face make a rude remark about it. Also, yelling at customers about closing time and to get in line is inappropriate and not how you treat customers. Madrag, I gave you my business these past few years, but it's time I went somewhere else.

I went into the store and the woman was on her phone chit chatting at no point did she even greet me little alone get off her damn phone ! *How rude* as I am looking around I ask her to let me try on a dress after she finally got off the phone. She didn't even touch the dress and said "That's a small and it's thr only one i have" she said it with an that's not even going to fit you attitude". Two skinny girls walk in and she walks away from me and doesn't even try to assist me with purchase at all. I left that store feeling horrible. I've been to alot more expensive stores and boutiques for some horrible, cheap dressed store owner to treat me that way. I will never return to that store and I will never let anyone I know go into that store without knowing what I experienced. Garbage. Sometimes at this outlet store you have to go find the staff people to get help, which might bother some people, but I actually like not having salespeople hovering over me! Also, the employees aren't super helpful or knowledgeable about the product that they have in stock. When I initially came here a few times I would say that the employees were fairly, responsive and customer service focused however I would not say that that is the same case anymore. Customer service has gone down and so is the current collection the new balance offers. They also pretty much charged the same price if not more despite the prior models that are offered at this location. There are barely any sales anymore as well, so there really isn't any value here in terms of shopping besides trying out shoes that you could try out at another actual new balance location not this one.

Sure, there was a pair of Lily Pulitzer shoes, but I don't know if that even qualifies. The thing that really gets me is the fake crap. Fake Prada and Burberry bags are proudly displayed and sold. Not only illegal, fake designer stuff is usually manufactured by some sketchy people. The shop also sells an assortment of sanrio candy and small toys. So the store is bizarre in that aspect as well. Not a fan. I think the owner was at the desk the first time I went in, and was entirely too wrapped up in her phone call to greet me. The other time I went in a teenager was pleasant and greeted me and was lovely. No $25 Marc Jacobs for me :*( I guess if you need to go to the hardware store you can stop by....
