Good service. Good food. Good vibes. Like them. They had hand slaughtered chicken PER REQUEST which made the event great.

While it's primarily intended for the hordes of office peeps what teem in the ranch of bishop there's no reason the occasional passerby can't pull in for lunchables. Parking is massive, surrounding the place like the ocean surrounds tom hanks in castaway, and is 95 percent full at lunch. Generally speaking you'll find a space in that lot close by even if it is in the vistor section which I feel justified in using as I'm visiting for lunch. Food trucks come and go so what you see when you arrive may be different then on my visit. My choices were a chicago halal mediterranean themed thingy, a bar b cue truck, and a fusion hot dog/hamburger/philly/fried stuff truck, all of which have their strengths and weaknesses. The bar b cue truck is the gold standard, the mederterrean/chicago spot had by far the best veg menu, and the philly was total meh. If you are thinking "hey cheesesteak, I haven't had that for a while...." just get the burger instead. The burger/fries combos are infintely better then the philly. Service is pretty typical. Order at counter ,pay at counter and then wait for someone to scream how they think your name is pronounced out the window while you anxiously hover keeping an eye on that uppity dude who looks like he may try to take off with your fries. Pricing is fairly standard food truck rates for the area. Lunch will come in at around ten bucks more or less depending on choices made. In spite of the mass of asphalt parking that makes bishop ranch such a lovely destination, this is a pleasant lunch option. That fountain is very soothing. there's some benches scattered around for improvised pic nic ing and you can get in, get fed. and get out in 30 mins or so which compares very favorably with the eternal never moving line at the nearest fast food spots. Not that this is a family joint-this is a office complex-, but just in case it ever matters, there lots of room for kids to run around in, and there is a brewery tasting room a short walk away. You know just in case. Anywhoo overall I found it to be a very acceptable outdoorsy lunch spot with a variety of choices. No real shelter from the elements, so beware rainy days, but for unpretentious al fresco dining it's a good choice.

It came with two generously sized chicken thighs, which we loved because we much prefer dark meat over white meat for its richer flavor. The chicken was beautifully marinated, packed with flavor, and grilled to perfection. It honestly reminded us of the amazing barbecue chicken we had in Maui! One thing to be mindful of: they charge an additional $3 per dish if you pay by card. That seems like a pretty steep surcharge just to cover credit card processing fees. Unfortunately, we didn't bring cash today, but we'll definitely remember to bring some next time. Overall, fantastic Hawaiian barbecue with authentic island flavors and generous portions. They can sometimes get busy especially after 11am, but they'll usually let you know if there is a longer than average wait. I usually opt for the double chicken island special which comes with three pieces of chicken and a side tomato & cucumber salad (tangy and fresh). The chicken is never raw and has a great smoky taste to it. There's not really a sauce but it is marinaded and grilled well.

I wanted to showcase my Taiwanese heritage for the dinner and was excited that Mama Lee's was available to cater. It was hard to decide from the variety of their catering menu because so much of it reminded me of my childhood favorites. I ordered the following, and of course it was way too much, but folks were excited to take home leftovers: - Popcorn Chicken - Pork chop egg fried rice - Chicken cutlet egg fried rice - Qua Bao - Veggie Chow Mein - Crispy Fried Tofu Sticks (with garlic dipping sauce and pickled cabbage) - Seasonal Veggie & Mushroom The popcorn chicken, egg fried rice, and veggie chow mein was the kids' favorites, along with the winter melon lemon tea, which David and Marysa threw in for being their first customer in Pleasant Hill. The adults enjoyed everything that was offered, and were excited to try many new dishes for the first time. Overall, the flavors were reminiscent of my memories of eating in Taiwan, and that was a huge plus! Communication was easy, and the day of the event, they sent pics of the food. Not only did they include delivery over $350, the food was brought in piping hot & they helped set up the food. I am excited to work with David and Marysa again for next year's dinner, and I would highly recommend Mama Lee's catering for your next event!!

One thing I couldn't wait after my shift, the 2nd year, (this year) I couldn't wait to eat the food she had. The guy in front of me in line, took the last turkey Caprese. When it was my turn, I was sad to tell her that I wasn't sure what I should get anymore, because some things were sold out, including the turkey Caprese the last customer bought. She actually solved the issue, by letting me know that she would add the turkey onto the veggie Caprese. Problem solved, exactly! That made me happy so quickly, I loved her truck & HER even more. LOL My husband got the hotlink sandwich, and he definitely enjoyed that as well. Kelly has a sense of humor, so don't get offended at her jokes. LOL Honestly, every year that I will work at Fort Mason for NYE, I will definitely stop by her truck, after my shift ends. If any food truck is worth, it's hers.

A public, free, and regular occurring event that brings you the finest selection of California Mobile Food Vendors to local venues close to home. Dont worry either, its perfectly safe to bring the whole family, if the weather is favorable then you can even expect to find tables and chairs but in any case a diverse array of vendors that make grabbing a bite to eat exciting, fast, and cost effective. Only problem here is deciding who to enjoy but just remember it's a reoccurring event so just pick something and come back next time for a whole new experience.

I think the problem is that I couldn't get past the lack of a restroom in the area. They had some portables, but they are making food and we are supposed to eat it. Where are they washing their hands? This area is also pretty cold so if you go, make sure that you have a coat, scarf and hat. I'll never make that mistake again. But because of the cold, I didn't want to eat outside so our food got a cold, but it was good. My husband liked the food he got, but gluten free options are super limited. They get a third star because of the bar! Now there was only one person working there and that's fine because he could go get a snack or something and come back to pour drinks, but again. The restroom issue. Where does he wash his hands, what if he has a cold and sneezes into them, and so on. That's where my mind went. The vendors are quite nice and were helpful and weren't mean when they answered my GF questions and I appreciate that. So, this is like the little engine that could. I can see that it is a gathering spot for people and they have music and speakers which is cool. So I saw and felt a community vibe and people really seemed to like going. If I lived in the area, I may try it a bit more, but in all honestly, Oakland Museum's Off the Grid event is everything I wish this was. I'm sure that they will get there, but don't want to hang out while they figure it out.

The taco service came with pollo, al pastor, and carne asada. The churros came freshly fried and served. The side dishes and sauces were beautifully displayed on a table to the side of where they set up with all the fixings and various spice levels of salsas (mild verde, medium creamy orange sauce, and hot red salsa - all delicious). There was a ridiculously large amount of rice and beans as well. Tortillas were freshly warmed on the griddle before they assembled each taco for our guests, which made for a delicious taco meal. Communication was consistently prompt, clear, and friendly all across the board from emails with booking details to calls for morning-of arrival and setup. That crew is on top of their game. The set up was great, the service was fantastic, and the food was really delicious. We had lots of leftover food and they packed it all neatly and efficiently.
