I have to admit it is not often I give 5 stars when I am upset with something, but after thinking…read moreabout it, it is not the establishments fault. I've been living 10 years now in Albany's Center Square, and I've had my share of parking tickets which were my fault. But one thing I do, is make sure and honor the temporary no parking signs in front of homes. Unfortunately, this time, the signs were not placed in the right locations, as should be, which is the homeowner's responsibility to remedy especially if someone removed them. I arrived home late last night from work and of course it was impossible to find parking. I saw an area with some, but there was a no parking sign for two spots in front of a home having construction done. I looked up two car lengths, and there was no sign in front of the tree in the open spot, so I took it. But there was another sign two spots up which I could not see, and even then, it was not for the location I was in. Seems like someone took down the sign that was in the middle. Anyways, next morning my Jeep is gone. Talk about being extremely upset, but this is Albany Center Square, and knowing how the parking is not the greatest for residents, I took a deep breath and sighed. The parking authority doesn't care about the residents when it comes to someone else's created problem. Anyways, since this was the first time, I didn't really know what to do. I callec the Albany Po Po, and they directed me to Capitol District Towing. I was concerned since my Jeep is old. But the lady at CDT was very helpful and apologetic, even though it wasn't her fault. I got there in time to get my Jeep, which was parked safely, and just like I left it. They looked like a class act, and will use them in the future for my towing needs. Hopefully, one that is not related to Albany Parking Authority towing it when they and the resident were the ones who were at wrong.

Chandler just came out and helped us with a flat. He was friendly quick and super helpful.read more

Stop looking at other Albany-area towing companies and call these guys. Seriously…read more I called the top 6 results for "tow truck company" asking for quotes on a tow from Albany to Colonie. Everyone else quoted between $170-$250 and either made it sound like an imposition, or like they'd be doing me a huge favor. I called D&P and the person I spoke to (I didn't get his name) gave me a cash quote with tax included that was SO much lower than everyone else. He said they'd just need one hour notice of whenever I needed the tow. I texted him (it's the number on the Yelp page) the info on my car's make/model/year/color, as well as the pick-up address, drop-off address, and the tow time requested. I made a note to text him again one hour before the needed tow just to reconfirm. He acknowledged receipt of both texts. The tow operator arrived a couple of minutes early and was ready to go. I paid him cash to avoid the 6% credit card fee, and added a tip (because service jobs are often so thankless). We were on the same page about where the car was headed, so I took off and let him do his job. My car arrived at the destination location 20 minutes later, in perfect condition. So I'm telling you -- save yourself the $50-$100 and go with these guys! They deserve your business, even though they have fewer Yelp reviews than other local companies. They are possibly just newer on the scene and still building a reputation. But they are prompt, they are professional, and most of all they are just truly good and decent dudes. Thank you, D&P!
