The house in question is Victorian style, 2 1/2 stories tall, with numerous gables, dormers, a turret with curves, and an octagon shaped porch. It was covered with the original shakes, and needed plywood installed before the new roof went down. This is to emphasize the scope and complexity of the job. There was a 4 day window of good weather. The contractor showed up Monday AM with about 6 vehicles, including 2 or 3 support rigs that held porta-jon and cleanup tools, another just for ladders and rigging, etc. Very organized and professional. 13 workers to start with. Each day's progress was nothing short of amazing. No one ever slacked off, yet morale seemed high. The jobsite was cleaned each evening. They were completely finished by noon Thursday, just barely beating the rain. The finished work looks very good. I was made aware of the cost by my neighbor. Judging be the size, scope, and difficulty of the job, and the speed of completion and quality of work done, I'd say it was a very reasonable price. Everyone in the neighborhood has commented on how impressed they were with this company's work.

Phil came out, measured everything, gave me advice and several options and sent me a very detailed estimate within a week! They just completed the job and it looks amazing! This combination is not good for pathways because anytime it is wet (even when tamped) the fines stick to shoe soles and are tracked into the house and any where else it is not wanted. I was able (years ago) to get some left over 3/8 minus (from a chip seal project I guess) it had a lot less fines and didn't track into the house, ever. I definitely would not recommend this product for pathways unless they get the fines down to around 25%.
