I attended from grade 2 - 12 and enjoyed every minute of it. The academic integrity of this school is above any other that I know of, and the teachers are incredibly passionate about their jobs. I wasn't a role model student, I needed a little bit more help than some, but the teachers would always put in the extra time to help me and to make sure that I understood the material. My colleagues that left MVA for another high school have often told me that the switch wasn't worth it because they were receiving a lower grade of education in trade of a bigger school with my more kids. If it weren't for the extra care and attention I received while I was attending school, I would likely not be studying for my B.Sc Psyc at UVic today. MVA helped build a solid foundation for my education, and as a result have opened many doors for me that may not have been available otherwise. Though I am bias in my opinion, obviously, it is only because I did go to the school for over a decade; I experienced first hand the quality and care that all the teachers (including the administration, as they often switch between teaching and managing) give to their students. If I could go back in time and choose differently, I wouldn't. I love this school, and if I have children in the future, MVA is my first choice. 5/5 - Would attend again

As an ESL student, I often needed extra help from the teachers due to my English level at the time, the teachers always stayed after school to assist me to go over the materials I needed help with. Because the class size was relatively small compared to public high schools, the teachers were able to ensure each one of their students was getting the best education they deserved. As an international student who came to Canada alone, I needed help not only with school but also with things in life in Calgary, i.e. finding a homestay family to stay with, extending my study permit and having someone there for me to talk to when I needed. I couldn't thank Mrs. P and Mrs S enough for all they've done for me throughout my journey here. They've gone above and beyond for what their responsibilities were as my high school principals. They took care of me like I was one of their children. My parents to this day still talk about them and thank them for taking such a good care of me. As cheesy as it may sound, MVA to me was not only my high school, but also my home. The help I received from MVA did not stop after I graduated from the school. After I graduated from MVA, I was accepted to University of Calgary. I was able to come back to school and asked the teachers to help me to go over my papers when I needed help. I graduated from the university 4 years later, and have been working for an oil and gas company since. Without the education and the help I received from MVA, I wouldn't be where I am today. Yelp only allows me to give 5 stars, I give MVA 1,000,000 stars!!

When I walked into Kids Quest I was blown away by how clean the school was, how knowledgeable, friendly, and interactive all the staff were with not only my daughter, but my self and my 1 year old at the time. My daughter has excelled to her fullest at Kids Quest and when she was off to Kindergarten this year she was more than prepared! I couldn't believe it when she came home and was able to spell her full name. I now have my youngest in enrolled (who has been eager for 2 years to start because of seeing all that her big sister learnt) and we are very excited to be apart of this amazing school again for the next 2 years. I feel really bad with the experience of my daughter's preschool which is she used to attend. The…read morename of the preschool is Mosaic Montessori Academy preschool. The reason for my dissatisfaction is that the Mosaic Montessori preschool has kept $300 child care subsidy for themselves and refused to give it back to me. The owner of the preschool named Mr. Ali said this money is not for my child and they will give it back to the Government of Alberta. But as I know from the Government (I have called the Child care subsidy department several times, and they told me that the money don't need to be returned). I have got the stay at home Child care subsidy from January to December in 2016, and the government paid all the $1200 in three month (March, April, May). The Mosaic Montessori preschool told me that the Government sent $100 each month to them. Because there is no class in the preschool in July and August, and I have withdrawn my daughter from the preschool by the end of November, so the preschool kept $300 for those three months (July, August, December) and said they will return those money back to the Government. Because I have called the Government and have been told that this $300 don't need to be returned, so I have talked this with Mr. Ali, but he is so rude and said: he has nothing to do with it and hung up the phone. I felt that I have been fooled and very disappointed. I believe this is not the only case that happened in this preschool. The Government usually gives parents 12 months subside once they have got approval, but this Mosaic Montessori preschool only have ten months classes per year. I know there are two more families that have encountered the same issue. The Alberta Childcare subsidy is supposed to be financial assistance for the families in need and we are so appreciative to the Government of Alberta. I am writing this because I want to tell all the families the truth, the financial support is supposed to go to the right place for the families in need, but not into the pockets of Mr. Ali. I believe that is the purpose of this subsidy to assist children and will have nothing to say if the preschool has really returned the $300 to the Government of Alberta. However, this not the case and in fact, Mr. Ali has kept the $300 for his preschool (and himself). I don't know which department of the Government of Alberta has the power to intervene and stop or monitor the growing problem of monies meant for children are being kept by Mr. Ali and the Mosaic Montessori preschool. Under these circumstances, this is the only way I can find, I believe this is a growing problem with this preschool and my $300 will seem small once investigation of all funds withheld by Mr. Ali are financially accounted for. The total amount of Alberta Childcare funds withheld by Mr. Ali for the last 6 years since Mosaic Montessori preschool opened business here in Calgary will be substantially high. I was a little unsure about the Third Academy at first due to the negative reviews on YELP. but I…read moream very happy that we made the decision to send both of our children to this school. For the first time in their elementary school career my children (ages 7-11) are finally learning. They are finally being held accountable for their academics and are receiving the type of education that the public mainstream system failed to give them. My children were falling through the cracks in the public system, were excluded from taking part in school plays etc. now they are thriving and get to participate in school plays and field trips. Our children ride the bus and communication with their driver has been fantastic. While other schools typically had bussing running late during the first week of school tHe third academy had theirs running on time. I have peace of mind knowing my children are safe at school and on the bus. The teachers, administrators, and support staff truly care about the kids there. They worked with our budget to find a rate affordable for us so our kids would not be excluded. These guys are not in it for the money as others have stated. They are in it to help children to reach their potential and be the best they can be. Whenever my kids have a bad day I always get communication from the teachers via text. It is a very efficient school and our family is very happy.

The CEO of the school Sunil Mattu had to close it's south campus this past school year for not…read morepaying the rent for the 4 years it occupied the building. A child died in a fatal bus accident in 2007, after they irresponsibly kept a bus driver on duty while being aware of her being suicidal. In 2013 I was severely beaten at the school, I ended up in the hospital with numerous abrasions, and a concussion. Sunil took zero responsibility for any of it, trying to accuse my family of making false accusations. After this incident took place I never wanted to return to the school. I feared for my safety everyday. The other student was suspended for one day, and I was forced to sit in the same classroom as him like nothing ever happened. I ended up getting transferred over to the North Campus, as if it was my fault. Sunil doesn't care about your kids and only wants your money because the Mattu family and the school are bankrupt. If you care about your children's safety and education then don't send your children to The Third Academy. A handful of teachers quit over the last 4 years and if that doesn't say something I don't know what will. You are better off sending your children to school elsewhere.
