I hired Waal Construction for two projects:…read more Project 1: Remodeled kitchen, removed wall, reconfigured kitchen layout, Installed tile flooring We had a "shoe box" kitchen that barely fit three people. Tracy came over to our house for a consultation and developed a plan to remove the wall between the dining room and kitchen, install a bar/counter, and open up a window into the living room. He laid out a plan to completely reconfigure the kitchen by moving the stove, sink, and fridge to a more ideal configuration and double the amount of cabinet space and counter space. He demoed the space, prepped the walls for cabinets, installed beautiful tile flooring and developed a solution for the ceiling transition (where the wall previously was). The finished space was amazing. It completely changed the first impressions of our home, and created a space perfect for cooking, conversing, hosting, and of course eating. Tracy was wonderful to work with, quick to respond, creative at solving problems, and true to his word. Project 2: Finished my basement, framed in walls, created five separate spaces (bedroom, living room, storage room, bathroom, and laundry room) I bought a new house with a mostly unfinished basement. We gutted what was down there and Tracy helped lay out a plan to maximize the space. He then framed the walls and helped me develop the plan and product list for lighting, electrical, drywall, and floor. He helped me identify projects that I could do on my own to save me money, and prioritized aspects of the project that would be too difficult or time-consuming for me. This project transformed our basement into a walkout basement and doubled our non-bedroom living space.

We are extremely pleased with our patio and deck that Rangels created for us! I contacted Rangels…read more(along with 3 other companies) and they were the most responsive and easiest to work with in preparation for our project. We had an exisiting 500 square feet patio, and a small deck, and needed to build a larger deck and expand our patio. Manuel was able to work with my thoughts and my designs, and build something much better than I expected. The price was also below comparable estimates. Best, price, excellent quality, excellent construction, excellent work ethic for the entire Rangels team. They worked through snow, rain, and foul weather to get our project done ahead of schedule. We will definitely be using them again for future projects. I highly recommend them and will be using them again in the near future. Special thanks to Manuel and his entire team for creating the perfect deck and patio combination for our backard. Thank you.

$500 to replace a fence post?! No thanks…read more We bought a $12 bag of concrete, took the panels off, set the the previous post back in the new concrete (because it came right out of the ground clean [due to the fence installation co. we hired being inline with so many construction contractors/workers these days, doing half-assed work]), then put the panels back on after the post set. $12 and about 45 minutes worth of work. This isn't work like a doctor does going into surgery - it's taking screws out, mixing concrete (which is less complicated than mixing together ingredients for cake out of a box), aligning your post correctly, then putting the screws back in. $500? Maybe the local car wash should charge $500 to do a basic hand wash on a small vehicle - it's just as complicated.

*I was not compensated for this review. I simply want to help a great company that did great things…read morefor me and my family. Stop searching, use Delco. My project: remodeling master bath. Reasons I chose Delco: - Owner's "can-do" attitude. Very positive. These are multi-week projects. It's important that I enjoy working with someone on a daily basis for that length of time. - Owner is consistently on-site. - Overall value was substantially higher than others. - Ability to use my own designer (Cary Gerschutz of DeLuca Designs...highly recommend). - Referred by trusted individual. Reasons I recommend Delco now that the project has been completed: - Communication: Owner proactively provides regular updates on project without it being overwhelming. - Proposed budget was in line with final cost. - Attention to detail: Example: Our designer marveled at the final product of the "pebble floor" in our shower. Each stone was placed by hand; it did not look "manufactured". - Any unknowns (you don't know what's behind the wall until you open it) were disclosed up front with worst-case scenarios clearly outlined, with an under-promise-over-deliver mindset. - Very respectful of our home: Stairs and walls were protected prior to starting. Items were carried carefully. Accidents can happen but we were fortunate that we experienced not one bit of collateral damage. - Respectful of our family: They used earbuds instead of a stereo. No yelling or unnecessary noise. Got to know our dog and were happy to close the door each and every time they made a trip from the outside of the house to the inside of the house. Even in communication: If I wanted to talk through some things, he wasn't rushing me. And likewise, if I was busy, he was respectful of that and kept things brief. - Cleaned up every single day. - Any snags were met with a positive attitude. No blaming of others; great accountability. - Vast majority of work done by Delco; very few subcontractors. - Project was completed within the "worst-case scenario" timeframe and, had it not been for subcontractor delays, it would have been done sooner than that. All of Delco's work was done in a timely manner. - Flexible with mid-project adjustments. Conclusion: A project like this is a big financial and time investment. I really enjoyed working with Delco. I've already referred friends to them. The end product was better than expected. Finally, my designer, after the project was completed, told me that, if I used a typical home remodeling company, I would have paid significantly more for a lesser product. Again, stop searching, use Delco. You'll be happy you did.
