I had my water softener fixed by Minor Ortiz from Atlantis Water Systems in July 2024. The repair was very expensive, but I paid it because I wanted the job done right. Less than a year later, I started having issues again and reached out to get service under the one-year warranty. That's when everything started to go downhill.
The first time I called, Minor gave me attitude and said he'd call me back. He never did. I followed up a week later, and while he was more polite that time, he still didn't follow through. After two weeks, I finally got a call from a woman who didn't even give her name. She told me it would cost $260 just for them to come out and take a look. When I brought up the fact that the system was still under warranty, she responded with, "Just like anything else, people charge to come out. It's not free."
I'm not someone who expects free service, and I fully understand people need to be paid for their work. But the way I was treated -- from the lack of follow-up to the dismissive attitude -- was completely unprofessional. I could have used those two weeks to find another company that actually values its customers.
I'm very disappointed in the lack of professionalism and customer service from Atlantis Water Systems. They were quick to take my money last year, but now that there's a problem, they don't seem interested in standing behind their work. I won't be calling them again, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more
