This place is so legit!!!!!! Amazing movie quality and best of selection. All costumes, masks, wigs and props are the real deal!! You will NOT find out of the package Halloween store! Another plus is that it is PLUS SIZE friendly! You can try on and feel the quality for your self! The owners are so fun and very helpful!

AMAZING costumes, trinkets, accessories and decor. Owners are from California and beyond fabulous. Like I feel that they may have a theater background. I stopped in here on a whim and bought a show stopping Día de Los Muertos costume for a very reasonable price. Would go back for any all-star event. :D

This store is terrifically crazy and weird, like a mix of a fun house and a costume shop and an art gallery. The first thing that hits you upon entering Atlantis Discovered is the smell: pure, unadulterated incense, baby. Then your eyes gradually become accustomed to the dark lit store and attempt to make sense of their surroundings. Mine took in authentic looking angel wings, silver jewelry, belly dancing scarves and hanging kimonos all in one swoop. Whoa. That's a lot of stuff. I slowly walked in, looking at the various costumes and trinkets by the entrance. Someone said hello from somewhere behind hanging fairy wings and a costumed mannequin. I ventured a hello back, wondering if I would get lost in this place, just as surely as the unidentified man had. I wandered back through incense and candles and jewelry, through clothing racks to what I assumed was the end of the store. But I was wrong... it just kept on going, art work splayed across metal furniture, room after little room, ending with a fountain and twinkle lights. Also, part of the crazy appeal of this place was the funhouse meets French music playing in the background. The store owner eventually found me and said hello. He was very friendly and helpful. Being in this little store just made me want to kick back amid all the interesting trinkets and odd costumes, maybe by the oddly lit fountain on one of the soft Persian rugs, and veg. Yeah, this place induces sensory overload, but I love it.

Stopped in to Atlantis Discovered on a whim looking for a costume for my wife for the Comic Con this weekend. She had no idea what she wanted, other than it had to be cute and not 'cheap' looking (i.e. no bag costumes). Luckily we found this place before we went to Party City because she was treated to first class service and offered several different options of hand-made clothing until she left happy and excited for the event with a unique Steampunk themed Victorian outfit. It was a little cold, so she switched from stockings to tights at the last minute, but she still had heads turning all the way down Caesar Chavez Blvd on the way to the event from the car. She had a lot of photo ops, and at one point I'm sure Freddy Kruger was demanding to know where she got her outfit.

This place is so neat! Lots of costumes and jewelry to choose from. Very clean and organized. Two gentlemen helped me find the perfect mask for an event, price was very fair for the great quality of the mask. Can't wait to shop here for all of my theme parties. Location is in the same shopping strip as Hobby Lobby, easy to find.

I have amassed quite the collection of horror movie memorabilia, signed lyrics sheets, personal correspondence with serial killers*, war artefacts, and sundry other things, some of which I dare not make public on Yelp. While sifting through my most prized items recently, I realized just how cool they would look framed on the walls of the haunted murder dungeon I call my home. Framing, though, can be an expensive proposition, especially at Kurt Youngblood, the premier framing business in town. I've dropped many thousands of dollars there over the years, money well spent but not economically feasible moving forward; I simply have too much stuff! Only recently did I discover that Hobby Lobby had a framing department. The prices I saw advertised online were a fraction of what I've spent at Kurt Youngblood, but I was skeptical. Should I entrust unvetted workers at a chain with my priceless, one-of-a-kind items? My intuition told me "yes," so off I went. I'm glad I did! About a week ago, I dropped off three personally signed horror movie posters for framing. One was signed and dedicated to me by Robert Englund ("Freddy Krueger"), and the other two were signed by Don Coscarelli, writer and director of the excellent "Phantasm" film series. The guy at the counter took a photo of each poster, fed the photos into a computer program, and showed me how they would look with various frames and borders. I settled on a black frame with a red border for all three. He told me they would be ready by September 23rd, which seemed reasonable, and quoted me a price of approximately $125 each. That might sound steep, but Kurt Youngblood would have charged me at least 50% more. Imagine my surprise when I received a call that all three posters were ready only a few days later! This Hobby Lobby is only a short drive from my house, so I rushed over to pick them up. All three were perfect: seamless, symmetrical, and exactly what I had requested. They look gorgeous and professional, and I can't wait to hang them on my walls this weekend. I'm so impressed with the work Hobby Lobby did that I plan to have several more items framed there very soon. Look at the three photos I've posted so far and revel in their awesomeness! I also take perverse, ironic pleasure in the fact that my Freddy Krueger poster -- which references my spirit communication evidence and refers to me as a "bitch" -- is now the featured photo for Hobby Lobby, a business run by a Fundamentalist Baptist. Now, if only I could locate the letter and pentagram doodle I received from Richard Ramirez, aka The Night Stalker. *I should have written "incarcerated serial killers." If I had correspondence from active serial killers, then that would be impressive indeed.

She even went as far as to mention the bell being there should somebody need to request/call for assistance. Wow. Cheers.

I was needing a handful of household cleaners and have had this place bookmarked for awhile now. I cleaned out the containers I wanted to use w the sustainable products in store. For oxygen powder I used a finished supplement bottle. For castile soap as a all-purpose cleaner, I used a jam jar. For dish soap I reused a finished dish soap bottle. And finally, 3 laundry pods. Firstly, tare each container on the table against the right wall in order to not pay for the weight of your container. Then grab a small, circular tag, scan it, and that will go with said container. And so on and so forth. There are stickers and permanent markers in order to label product number and name. There are small vials of the product such as body lotion, laundry detergent, and shampoo where you can sample the scent. Some had a couple scents to choose from and others only had one. Vetiver, sandalwood, lavender, and citrus were some of the scents I remember. The 3 bottled products I got were 40 cents/oz and the laundry pods were 60 cents each. Along the window of the store, they have packaged products from other companies such as beeswax food wrapping, dish brushes, bamboo dish rack, ect. There is also toothpaste tabs, dishwasher pods, window cleaner, sunscreen, aloe vera, and more. I had previously commissioned the talents of Restoration Hardware to cover my floor to ceiling windows but wanted something a little cheaper and versatile for my other spaces. Johnathan and Phillip arrived to my home with several examples of linen and blinds to choose from and I informed them that I wanted something to remind of my great home on the East Coast. We selected a wide Plantation Shutter for my office and they expertly matched my downstairs kitchen selection to my existing RH roman shades. The colors and fabric choice was spot on and anyone examining the piece would have thought they were from the same store. To carry on the Meditation theme in my gym, the designers helped me select a nice thin wood bamboo that mirrored the tones and wood choice I had selected in my space. The wood was a nice warm tone and I was overwhelmed with the enormous and exquisite selection. The price was competitive and comparable to what I had seen around the area and surprisingly enough, my military discount brought down the cost considerably. I also received a great price by deciding to add in the gym and after seeing the work installed I'm very glad I did. The installers were very professional and came to my home and installed on the weekend because of my busy schedule. I would definitely recommend Delightful Blinds and was pleased that they came to my home for a consultation within one day of my initial call..
