Got a call later that afternoon with an initial diagnosis, estimate range for repair cost and schedule. Was pricey but he wasn't pushy or anything. Chose to move forward. John called a few days later when the car was done. Gave me his findings, came in under his estimate, processed payment over the phone and a contactless pickup at my convenience closed the deal. And if they did the dealer should have replaced the brakes and rotors together. Jay said nothing was done to the car other than a good detail car wash. . Jay noticed the brake lines were corroded, , brake pads were 75/80 used , and underneath the car showed signs of an oil leaking possible head gasket issue. i am so great full Jay was able to save me from buying a possible problem car from the dealership. They also left before I had a change to tip them, but someone else in my house had tipped them without my knowledge. When I contacted them by email to see if there was a way I could tip them they let me know they'd already been tipped and didn't want to accept more. Matt Pennucci guided me along the path of being "totaled" and even helped me contact an independent mediator who was able to increase Mapfre's settlement offer. Finally, sloppy communication from Mapfre resulted in excessive storage fees that should not have been assessed to me. Cape Auto owner Kevin Gallerani stepped up and settled the matter to my benefit even though it meant a loss of revenue for them. Kudos to them. This is a class-act family business.
