The Somers Point AMI is always a positive experience for my annual mammography. Friendly staff and clean facilities. Very welcoming.

The technician was completely unprofessional. I have read the reviews and it seems apparent that there are issues with the mammography department. The technician was extremely aggressive in my arm movements during the testing with a full rotator cuff tear. Never again. I advise anyone against going to this facility for a mammogram. Being asked personal questions while in a public area was disturbing to add to the already unpleasant experience. One star is actually being generous. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. The absolute WORST experience in my life. Have a 9 yr old child with a Fracture in her spine and couldn't get anyone to send the scans to me or my hospital. I called 5x and it took 15 minutes of holding before anyone picks up, each time. Then I get, we sent them, they didn't. 3 hours and countless calls. They don't care. I was begging, crying, pleading for help. I will NEVER go here EVER again! I hope my insurance figures out their problem with SJ Radiology bc they are soooooo much better! Everyone was fantastic, such a friendly place to go for testing. Very clean. I would recommend to others.

I have to go here every three months for PET Scans and everyone was lovely...I didn't have to wait long after my appointment arrival time and the clinical staf was just as helpful and attentive as one could possibly ask for. I frequently have used this AMI in Somers Point and have never had a problem with any of my tests, getting an appointment, and working with the technicians. They are efficient, courteous, and thoughtful. Results are usually available within a reasonable amount of time. I highly recommend this location and business. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! I never write reviews and this is my first but I felt that I had to warn people about Atlantic Medical Imaging. This company blatantly lies about your financial responsibility and then sends you an astronomically larger bill. I had an MRI at Atlantic Medical Imaging and they told me that I was pre authorized for the test. I called on two separate occasions prior to the test, because I couldn't afford it otherwise due to financial changes directly related to Covid. On both occasions that I called they assured me that my insurance was covering the MRI and that I was only responsible for a $40 co-pay. I then confirmed this at the office prior to the test just to triple check. 1 month later I receive a bill in the mail for over $900 dollars! I called Atlantic Medical Imaging to ask what happened and they said my insurance didn't cover the test. I told them that I confirmed with them three times by three different people that this test would be covered by insurance and they told me that there was no way of them knowing that. I then asked why 3 people would confirm to me that this was the case if they couldn't know that? The lady apologized for their mistake and then told me THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO! Not only did they make the mistake but I never signed anything saying I would be financially liable for this test if my insurance refused to cover it. I informed them that on THREE separate occasions I was told otherwise. They told me that wasn't their problem, that they could not even reduce the price and that is what I have to pay. Do not go here this place blatantly lies to patients to take advantage of them and stick them with ridiculously large bills. TLDR: These people are a bunch of hustlers who will lie to you and then send you bills there is nothing you can do about. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! read more

This place is a joke. The staff doesn't give a flying anything about you as a patient, every last move is at their convenience with no regard to you. Go somewhere that won't make you drive all over NJ after losing your images, 3 times, to finally obtain them. After canceling and rescheduling appointments with no regard for patient or her schedule. The staff is downright rude. Unacceptable if I was that business owner. Sad that a place for injured people doesn't actually want to take care of them, just be sure to empty your wallet on the way in. read more

Clearly no one cares if a patient is inconvenienced. Some very incompetent people are answering the scheduling phone lines. I have an allergy to shellfish. When making the appointment for a CT scan on 6/18, I was asked if I had any allergies, and I replied that I did.....to shellfish. I told the scheduler for my past CT scan a few years ago, I had to be pre medicated due to my allergy. The scheduler said that for this CT I would have an injection prior to the scan, but the dye used for this CT would not be problem with my allergy. No one called me after that. Today upon arrival for the CT, I was turned away by the CT nurse for not pre medicating a day before with Prednisone. To add insult, I was informed by the CT nurse that according to their records, another nurse documented that she had called me regarding the allergy issue on 6/18. I was never called by any nurse, and clearly this was a lie, since my cell phone history showed there was no call. I now am pre medicating and going to change my plans so I can return again tomorrow. The CT nurse is squeezing me in...only good thing! Thinking back, the last time I had a CT at AMI several years ago, believe it or not, the exact same thing happened! Only that time in order to be squeezed in the next day, I had to travel 20 miles away to another AMI location. Very disappointed with AMI. read more

I don't know why the last review was terrible but my experience with Atlantic Imaging was terrific. Everyone explained all the procedures and the front desk was excellent. They informed me that they would be a little late and kept me posted at all times. Everyone was pleasant and I have used them for multiple diagnostics. read more

I was just there, and they started giving me forms to fill out when I realized they were for a test I was not there for. The receptionist looked and said there was another person with the same name with the same time appointment, so those were her forms. Then once I went in for one of my 2 tests, I found out I did not need to drink all the water they told me to drink before hand. The tech said the people who make the appointments don't always know. So I went and used the bathroom since I had been holding it with all that water for a half hour, then when I came out, the tech said she didn't know if I needed it for the other test I was having. Thankfully I didn't. This place is totally disorganized, does not treat patients like people and I am not going back. read more

The entire staff is extremely rude. They do not care about making their patients feel comfortable at all. After checking in and sitting in the waiting room, I was taken to an awkward little changing stall. Then I was forced to wait alone in an even smaller waiting area on the other side of the building. And the the ultrasound technician finally took me in. She was extremely rude. They have absolutely no bedside manner. And it is a very uncomfortable place to be. I am never going back here again and I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

They take the pics; you pay your money. The location is very convenient for me. I assume they correctly read/interpret the images. They instruct you to arrive 15 minutes before your appointment time. This may be to complete any additional paperwork. However, during the course of 20++ visits over the years I have NEVER been called to the desk within 10 minutes of arrival. (This includes the times in past years when I arrived 15 minutes early per their instructions.) On 8/28/'18 I arrived at 8:44 for an 8:45 appointment. I was called to the desk for my script at 8:59. About ten minutes later I was called for the x-rays. The front desk people are acceptable. The techs have always been very good on all levels. One note: If waiting for the disk/record to take with you don't assume you will be notified when it's available. (I learned this the hard way after waiting 55 minutes earlier this year.)
