My wife and I came for dinner, and decided to return the next day for their "Boozy Brunch". The dinner was so delicious. We ordered too much, but ate as much as we could before literally throwing in the towel. I ordered a Manhattan and it was very good for Australian standards. Not the best I've had, and certainly not the worst. My wife had the Chandon Garden Spritz which she enjoyed. To eat, we shared the Pork Belly, and a cut of steak I don't recall. FYI...if it's two people, only order one of these dishes. It's plenty for two. Oh! We did have the bone marrow and dumplings for an appetizer. Both were equally delicious. Now, let me get into their "Boozy Brunch". Apologies, but brunch shouldn't be the same food items on the dinner menu. Where are the eggs? Sweet and savory items (French toast, bacon, etc)? Yes, you can get people in with bottomless drinks for two hours, but you can get more people in with eggs Benedict and avocado toast! Especially, when you throw in some really great live music and singing! I would hope on my next trip to Melbourne, that I could return to this fantastic place and enjoy a good "brekkie" with a mimosa. A few ideas...Pork Belly Benny (you already have it on your menu), fried rice with a fried egg on top, linguisa or chorizo sausage on the side. Maybe a continental breakfast tray with mini muffins, croissants, fresh fruit, coffee/tea, and don't forget the avocado toast. There isn't a restaurant in Melbourne that can't put that together on the whim. BTW...this info is free of charge. You're welcome!

With Asian decor, food and drink specials, there is a cozy feel to it. Vibe is casual although you will see some suits after work hours. There is also a small outdoor smokers area with glass doors so your friends don't feel too excluded when they need a puff. Admittedly I have only been here on Wednesday evenings since that is when the trivia night is held starting at 7. They have $5 drinks and $1 popcorn chicken so order up. I enjoy the fried chicken and prawn with mayo dishes. My teammate tells me their teriyaki bowls are delicious. The octopus meatballs were not chewy as one might imagine, thankfully, but soft with a nice drizzle of dark sauce. Service is friendly although slow when the rush hits, generally before and during the trivia round breaks. So plan accordingly when you order. Lastly if you are looking for something fun to do or to join a new trivia group, just rock up. You can join an existing group easily and the quiz master is fun! If you have your own group, there is ample seating but get there early. I am determined to stop by on a weekend night to check out the DJ as my coworker said they have great R&B and dance tracks to keep you moving.

Best to arrive before 8 so you can take advantage of the drink specials and avoid the cover charge. After this time the music starts blaring a little louder (in a bid to encourage ppl on to the dancefloor?) but I prefer to relax and chat, maybe over a cocktail or three. Speaking of which, they have an extensive list of Japanese inspired cocktails, one of my faves being "Mr. Miyagi" and another "Lychee long time". Unfortunately the last time I was here for a Mexican-themed night, they failed to deliver the tacos we ordered (and it's not like they were busy). But on previous occasions, I've tried some of the tapas and they are pretty satisfying. They also offer crackin' deals if you celebrate your bday with them - my mates who have done so give them the thumbs up in terms of value for money and fun times!
