Slogan is, "We fix smiles, not teeth." Truer words have never been spoken. While it truly pains me to write this, my experience left me in tears - in the dental chair. Despite post-procedure "adjustments," I have been left with a smile, but can't engage in conversation without upper/lower teeth colliding. Correcting the problem, from their perspective, was off the table...without added double-digit work. So we agreed to disagree and I moved on. read more

My first experience with these fine folks was an accident I had and broke my front two teeth ! Actually a repair I had from my dentist was knocked out ! They saw me at 8am the very next morning Dr Parham and her staff were so very nice ! They were able to fix my teeth temporarily until the permanent solution ! They looked better than ever ! On another visit to Kitty Hawk I broke some teeth (surfing is not my thing lol) she and her staff came up with a solution . She fashioned a bridge until my mouth healed then fixed it with a permanent bridge ! They are by far the friendliest, nicest folks you would ever want to meet! If I was a little closer they would be my dentist but I make several trips a year and Dr Parham and her staff take care of me ! They are also a good reason to take a trip to this area ( Kitty Hawk & Manteo) thank you Dr Parham ! read more

I've been going here for five years and I really enjoyed Dr. Marshall. The staff is always so nice, however, I saw a new dentist this time and I felt like I was being used as a money making opportunity while I was there for my dental cleaning . I don't have any pain in my teeth yet the dentist suggested I get two crowns. One of the crowns was redoing the work done by another dentist in their office! They were going to give me a small discount. How generous. Not returning. read more

From the time I enter the business until I leave, I always have a good experience at Atlantic Dentistry. I recently had two teeth drilled out for crowns to be put into place. Dr. Heyder is so professional, efficient and caring. He knows exactly what needs to be done, shares with me what he will be doing, all the while, making sure I am comfortable and ok. Dr. Heyder's assistant is always there, knowledgeable of the procedure at hand, and works well with Dr. Heyder. Not sure anyone really "loves" going to the dentist, but this is about as good as the experience gets. As always, everyone in this practice is friendly, efficient, and patient. Dr Thompson did a great job, and was willing to adjust my care plan to accommodate my travel schedule. That level of care and flexibility is something every medical practice should strive for, but rarely reaches in my experience. Just a great experience form start to finish! read more

This office is always running on time, has extremely friendly qualified staff and I love my hygienist, Deena ( sp?). I have a partially paralyzed palate, vocal cords and epiglottis. She is extremely diligent in making sure I don't aspirate. She is the first hygienist that I am not feeling somewhat panicked when gett my teeth cleaned. She's quick but thorough. read more

Horrible front desk. No courtesy. The dentist and technicians always try to shame you and upsell you. They are obviously running a business and not concerned with caring for their patients. Also know that the front desk will announce all of your personal information out loud to the whole waiting room. read more

Very efficient, professional and courtesy. Although, very expensive. I don't think it's right to have to pay balance in full before proceeding to next procedure that is most needed to prevent further complications and more expense. I think a monthly payment plan would be great especially after just paying almost $10,000 out of pocket for extensive surgery. I feel like this should have not been overlooked and discovered only a week after the first surgery especially to the point it had gotten and especially in just one week and now it's gotten to the point of no return. Financially, it's tough for everyone especially for seniors trying to live off of social security. Thank you for your time. read more
