The dentist was very nice, gentle and fast, I barely felt his anesthesia shots. The dental assistants were very compassionate and sweet. It was very hard to get an initial appointment, and I waited a long time to get in. That being said, both my 23-year-old son and I had good experiences. So far zero complaints. Everything including my request to avoid bpa was very respected. The appointment ladies in the back are very polite and helpful. I will for sure return.

I used to absolutely love Edinburgh Family Dentistry 100%. So much so I recommended them to…read moreeveryone I knew. Sadly, over the past two years customer service for the adults in our household has declined significantly. I'm going share as 4 stars, at this point it's really closer to 3 1/2 but they don't give you an option for that, which I'm torn since they do take great care of my children. Let's start with the positives: The hygienist and Doctor who work with our children are wonderful. They are gentle, kind, and patient. They have never pushed unnecessary treatments. They simply do their cleanings, make observations, and offer suggestions. Never had an issue with how our kids are treated. They even allow you to sit in the room with them. This part of their practice has always been excellent. The wait time once you arrive and check in is never long, I don't believe we've ever waited more than 10 minutes to be seen except one time when someone called out so they were short staffed. The office is also very clean. However, our experience as adults has been very frustrating. My husband was essentially "Ghosted" as a patient. He was contacted about moving his appointment earlier, which he agreed to only if his original appointment could remain in case he couldn't make it ( He was traveling for work that week). They canceled his original appointment anyways, and then later canceled another appointment because insurance was "asking questions" but no one ever followed back up with him like they said they would. In the end they dictated his schedule instead of working with it, and he never got his mouth completed after starting a deep cleaning. Recently they repeatedly kept contacting me during work hours asking for insurance information even though I had told them I did not have it on hand and would send it as soon as I could that day. The constant texts during the workday feel excessive and stressful. Another limitation is pain management, they only offer injections for numbing. If you don't numb well with needles like me they can't accommodate you. They won't even do my teeth cleanings until one tooth issue is resolved elsewhere. Scheduling is also a bit difficult, appointments are typically booked close to a year out, and although we tried to switch to their newer location, they told me they are still working on insurance coverage there so we're stuck at this office. Today was another example of the disorganization. We had a 2pm appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. The staff was in a meeting and kept all patients waiting outside until exactly 2PM. As more and more patients arrived for their appointments they eventually put a sign on the door telling people to return at 1PM even though it was already past that and they still weren't available until 2. It was confusing and frustrating especially for those who arrive on time and early. During cleanings you won't see the dentist for more than 5 minutes unless you have specific concerns. Overall, this used to be a 5-star office for us. Now it feels very inconsistent. Excellent for children so far.

I am not sure where the disconnect is but 1- they do not communicate well if you are a former customers. 2- they charge you for service upfront and you pay out of pocket for the service before they file with the insurance. That is my issue that state they have sent it over. I have checked my insruance account and the info is not there. I emailed last week asking for my documents electronically by the end of day and got nothing. I then called and left a message the following day. Asking they send it over. They haven't. I spent 4500 on 1 tooth to be repaired. Now I am in lost between the paper trail of where I get my reimbursement. I have tried not to place blame on them but this is ridiculous. I will not recommend their service as a former patient. Current patient teated extremely well, as a former who wanted to use them again. I will not and I will not recommend them. If you are looking for a bio-dental be prepared to pay up front and possible have insurance issues if you deal with them and be out of money. This has been on going since 28 Aug and it's now Dec 7.

Dr. Samaha has a clear drive and passion for this scientific art, and I am forever thankful she has chosen to use her God-given gifts to help others to the absolute best of her ability. She has an extensive knowledge base, not just of dental arts but also all things health and wellness, including facial and oral development and growth patterns especially related to airway and mouth breathing. We found this office after lots of searching, many other dentists, not all bad, but we knew that the products and services offered at Port Warwick were each carefully selected using the most up to date research and patient individuality in mind. It is no secret that children are presenting with more and more dental concerns at younger ages. Our son was an especially challenging case, and our family has been treated with grace under some very difficult circumstances. We finally received the airway and mouth breathing help we needed! We finally received the nutritional partnership we needed! We finally found a dentist that doesn't use dangerous products to get the job done! We finally found a dentist office that can understand our holistic lifestyle and not only that- THIS OFFICE WILL ENHANCE YOUR KNOWLEDGE AND HELP YOU GROW! Dr. Samaha and her team demonstrated supernatural powers as they did what most dentists could not do with a child presenting a unique combination of decay and defiance. Over a very lengthy appointment, their endurance and commitment to doing what needs to be done the right way allowed me to fully trust in God and His provision of their talents and gifts, and let go of all control that many of us parents want to have in these unpleasant situations for our children. Dr. Samaha is a dental professional you can trust in to provide gentle and loving care to her patients. She explains things to children (and their parents) in a way they can understand and is amazing at making connections with them. If you want to have a beautiful smile that is a result of a healthy body, this office can help you to set and achieve goals for total wellness. Our mouth is very much a reflection of our mind-body's state and most dentists entirely ignore that.
