I injured my knees several years ago and was diagnosed with bi-lateral chondromalacia of the patella resulting in painful giving way, sharp stabbing pain, extreme pain when extending the knees, and constant throbbing. After visiting my PCP, the week prior I was offered to receive steroid injections from my primary care provider in her office without any additional x-rays or MRIs, but I declined due to the correlation between steroids and opacification of the optic lenses. However, she provided a referral to a Dustin Hoffman who works at Emergeortho of Wilmington. In doing so, the scheduler called and I advised her that my PCP has the MRI summary for both knees and they should ask for said summaries to be forwarded in order to provide a clear picture of my condition, but due to the incredulity of the situation the office didn't request the MRI summary from my PCP resulting with Dustin Hoffman insisting on billing my insurance company for an X-ray even though by his own omission agreed that more times than not the x-ray image will show normal. I find this sort of mentality to be border line spurious and mendacious in nature. In addition, during my brief interaction with Dustin Hoffman he did not ask one question concerning my knees. Didn't ask about the trauma, the fact they give out, the sharp pain, or the constant throbbing or why my PCP referred me to him. The only concern he had was to be able to bill my insurance for an x-ray that he and I both knew would indicate normal imaging and at no time did he suggest a new updated MRI, which I would have capitulated to. Healthcare at its best in the United States now awaydays!! Two thumbs down!!

He said that he and the doctor had a very informative and insightful conversation and he was pleased with his care. we also didn't have to wait long before he was called back. His entire visit from registration to check out was only about 95 minutes.

Covid was to blame for delays with the surgery. I was to blame for allowing the pain in my back to dictate my life for almost 3 years! I knew Dr Brown was the only doctor I would trust to do any back surgery on me! I was lucky to know 3 people who went to him, all had surgery with very happy endings! The best thing I ever did, was make the first appointment to see him! I was in so much pain, he was kind, and he put up with my painful mood, and I was able to do our remaining appointments by phone(video). We have many doctors in Wilmington,but great surgeons usually are not this close to home! I awoke from surgery and realized a couple of hours later, that I could lift my left foot!!! And the sciatica in my left leg was gone! Each day after, felt even better!!! Any surgeon that can do all that he did(yes, I read all the notes about the surgery),I'm just very blessed! I called his old phone number that was a good number 2 months ago and those bad people answered and would not switch me over to his office. They were very rude, I wanted to make a appointment with Ryan. That made me wait one month, 6 months ago I could get in to see Ryan in 7 or 8 days. Very bad move for Dr Bowling. Emergortho are the Doctors who botched my surgery to begin with that Dr. Bowling had to fix.

The therapy office is in a big building full of different offices.. they are on third floor . You walk into narrow waiting area and when you're called back it opens up into full pt room with big picture windows.. warm and inviting! I had pleasure of working with Jai. He had me walk to see my posture then took me into side room where the inserts get made. He was very nice and the process was pretty amazing.. he pulled an insert/pad down.. put it into warmer oven and when he pulled it out put my foot on it he took hands and molded it to my foot then glued a cork type heel pad and grinded it down until he seemed happy with it.. gave me care instructions and told me if I was in any way feeling it wasn't right he'd correct it. Everyone I met seemed very happy with the services they got and staff was genuinely caring to their clients.. if this office was closer I'd go here for my pt! And insets felt so different and wonderful it made me hopeful that I'll be feeling better in no time

The earliest appointment I could get was months later with Rob, his PA. I arrived on time, was checked in, and sitting in the waiting room when I was called to the desk and was told Rob would not see me because I was late! Even Doctors have more respect for an elderly woman than you do. I love Dr Ardeljan but I will never deal with Rob again.

For some time now I have had neck stiffness and left shoulder pain that was restricting motion and…read moreinterfering with many activities of daily living (especially driving). I was referred to a gentleman at Emerge Ortho who had me seen at Oleander Rehab (the folks at Oleander Rehab, especially Marie, are amazing). Marie discovered that the problem was not so much with my shoulder as centered in my lower cervical spine. The orthopedic surgeon administered a shot to my shoulder which did relieve the symptoms for a few hours, but the thought of going through such over and over (treating symptoms rather than investigating further) had me looking elsewhere. While living in the Tampa Bay area I rode with Hillsborough County EMS for a time and one call, in particular, had me swearing off chiropractors forever (I thought). We were called to one chiropractor's office to discover a patient had suffered a cervical spine injury while he was being 'manipulated.' The end result was he was paralyzed from the neck down. The increasing pain and decreasing use of my left arm and stiffness in my neck had me reconsidering this decision, especially after meeting one of the staff at Atlantic Coast Chiropractic and being impressed with her knowledge and professionalism. I chose to schedule an exam that was very thorough and after two visits with Dr. Giacalone shared with him my previous reticence about his profession. He was very understanding and after further discussion, I have continued going there. The pain in my shoulder is GONE and with the treatment and homework of specific exercises, the stiffness in my neck is MUCH improved. If you are hesitant to check them out, you owe it to yourself to at least go there for an evaluation. I highly recommend the entire staff there.
