I loved the office and how welcoming they all were. Our agent was the sweetest woman and was very informative. I though the process was going to be long and horrific, but she had us out of there within a half hour. They were referred to us from USAA, so I am not quite positive who all they work with, but if you are ever referred to them, give them a whirl. They certainly helped us out and made the process all the more easier, and I love my cozy new home :)

Am I ever glad that our Realtor referred us to Tidewater Home Funding. From the first call with our loan officer to get preapproved, we were treated like gold. The process of meeting in person to sign all of the initial loan application paperwork went so smoothly and I felt so reassured about what would happen next and what to expect. Like Nikki's photo suggests, I walked in to a sign on the desk personally welcoming me. I was kept informed throughout the entire process and was never left wondering what was happening at any given point in time. I tried to be really proactive and do my homework about any piece of documentation possible that might be required. Between that and our LO's dilligence, I never had to go back after that first meeting. The day we looked at the house we wanted, our agent suggested a closing date of January 28th and Tidwater Home Funding ensured we met that date. I couldn't believe how the entire thing went off without a single hitch or the constant back and forth that I've heard so many other people describe. I would absolutely recommend THF to anyone considering buying a home. I couldn't be happier with the process and of course, the outcome...our first home.

EVERY woman who worked on this deal did their very best to ensure we closed on time and I am so grateful for them. Whenever there was paperwork that required signing it was uploaded to my customer portal profile which was amazing so I was always aware of what was needed or what had already been completed. Whenever I had questions she was an email or phone call away not forcing me to speak with her assistant which I appreciate. This was a pleasant experience and hopefully the interest rates will go back down so I can buy with OVM again. Signed- Your future real estate mogul

Since he is not allowed to use the mobile devices during work, I am the one to pay the down payment, contact the office, scan and signed all the documents and dealing with the emails using my own email adress. While one day before the closing day, Leslie Guidry emailed my husband at the back of me to ask if want to put me on title. I found it is ridiculous and not show respect on me. It is not professional either, they at least needs to cc me to let me know. Also, there is zero communication with the employees in this company. Every time Leslie Guidry and Michael Oak tell us different stories and sent us different emails. For example, one person said we need this and then the other one said we do not needt this documents. I am wondering if they work for the same company or it is juts scam. I know it is COVID time but they do not do their job, and just send their customers wrong message instead of communicating with other first. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMEND

Walmart Auto in E. City charged us for 4 tires they refused to install but took the $1254. anyway. Walmart is refusing to accept responsibility, despite proof that we never received these tires. A fraudulent charge against them was filed with Navy Fed on May 23rd. Despite my loading email after email showing we never got these tires, I have yet to receive a call back from someone in disputes. Almost a thousand dollars has been stolen from us & NFCU doesn't care either. I spoke w/someone at the CS line last night named Casey who I requested that he send an email to his boss regarding my less than satisfactory experience with this. I highly doubt that was even done. It's been almost a month. Someone has stolen my money & Navy Fed is supposed to have our back, but they have clearly drawn a line in the sand that they are on Walmart's side. I know my $52k in their bank are drops of water, but this is an ocean filled with my tears because y'all can't get it together. We are in the process of moving/retiring & buying/selling homes so that $1k can be used in a far more important way. If you value customer service, take your money somewhere else. We will be doing the same soon as we're settled in our new home. Thanks for nothing.

My wife will be submitting an unflattering critique of his work. We anticipate a blast of our two reviews. I can confirm that the reviews are accurate. We formed a team of five professionals to work on a mortgage. That team included the sellers of a house and all potential buyers of the house. We were investigating a mortgage for the sale of the house. We began our discussion with Boyce with a description of the first potential buyer, and intended resident of the house. We told Boyce that the team member's credit history was compromised. Boyce informed us that items on the credit report that were more than two years old would not impact the buyer's ability to qualify. Clearly wrong. He then took information about the team member, stating he would get him pre-qualified. Information which he immediately lost or forgot. A day later Boyce suggested that my wife, another team member and potential buyer, to check the first team member's credit. She declined since we would ultimately be paying Boyce to do this. He agreed. In two days, Boyce informed us of a phone appointment with an attorney who would do the closing. Our assumption was that pre-qualification had been accomplished. It hadn't. On the day of that conference, Boyce asked, again, for the information about the first team member. This was the information he had lost. While on the phone he checked the credit score to find that the information on the report which was more than two years old did indeed disqualify the team member from arranging a mortgage. My wife attempted to inform Boyce of the fact that the pre-qualification should be the first step in the process and not the last. She never got it out. Boyce immediately launched into a high-volume dissertation at the end of which he ended the call. I was present for his screaming tantrum and heard the entire episode. Boyce is incompetent, disorganized, too trusting of his own memory, a bad communicator, rude, and I think, dishonest. He can neither write, spell, nor do simple arithmetic. While it is difficult to confirm, it appears that one of the positive reviews on Yelp was written by Boyce himself ("Temple M.")
