They use great products, tools and I love his technique. One major difference I see in the shop is the increased diverse talent and vibrancy of the staff. I appreciate that in a hair salon. Bookings are online or phone call, parking spots are across at Einstein's (I learned the hard way today and parked in the big lot next to Sprint and had to pay an event fare) and Starbucks is up the block if you need a coffee/tea although the staff here will gladly pour you a mimosa.

There was also a tv playing a loop of music videos which kept me entertained! Emoni thoroughly reviewed my skin and its needs before proceeding. She seemed very knowledgeable, confident, and bubbly! I was laid down on a bed similar to any spa, and covered under a blanket. She started off with rubbing oil into my skin. This supposedly helps to draw out toxins before applying cleanser. I found this so interesting, she dropped lots of knowledge that I'll definitely have to add to my skincare routine! She followed that with an African black soap cleanser, and then a pumpkin/papaya scrub! Between each product she cleansed my face with a warm towel and consistently massaged it into my skin, which felt amazing! We also had great conversation the whole time!! She also had a steamer above me for hydration, which felt wonderful. Butter bar offers lots of services, but I chose to go with dermaplaning. I was afraid of pain or being cut but none of that happened. I almost couldn't feel it at all, and I immediately noticed that my skin felt smoother. She also did extractions specifically on my nose which left amazing results. She ended with another healing oil and my face still feels moisturized now! (My appointment was at 1130, I was late on my behalf and called ahead to let them know. Honestly worked out because she was unable to the eyebrow tinting that was booked. I got undressed and she did not enter for another ten minutes. I got the under arm wax. The wax was burning hot. She then went to do the summer body. That lasted about 30 minutes. No extractions we're done and I have plenty of blackheads I was hoping she'd look at. There was no micro dermabrrasion done. She did the roller, left the room for twenty minutes. I was left exposed with curtains open and people walking in and out. got the first part done of applying the different products and dermaplanning. That last about 30 minutes. She them popped a few pimples, left me laying in a freezing cold room naked with only the towel wrap for 20 minutes, came back only to clean up the room for another ten minutes, wiped it off and told me I was done. Then I stood around for another 15 minutes waiting for a supervisor in the Houston location to correct the purifying for there summer fine body service to their promo code. Lasted longer than the actual service. I then called the Houston location after leaving to speak to a supervisor. He basically blew my issue off then asked what the problem was after telling him what happened. He then responded, I'll call you right back" and I have heard nothing. Very disappointing. The entire service time was awkward. She did not seem interested in even doing it. Normally one would walk through each step and explain what is being put on. Besides the fact that half of what was described and shown on social media was not done, I still had to pay for it. Then asked for a tip and given personal business card as if the service was even enjoyable for either of us! In reaching out on email and Instagram, no one has helped. Absolute waste.
