I just cannot say enough great things about this place! let's backtrack a few months ago when the…read morefiance and I were looking at rings. I was constantly online looking at rings from Brilliant Earth, Nile etc. and went to Shane Co as well as Jared to find "the ring". There were some close contenders, but nothing that I could see being on my finger for the rest of my life (or until we were able to do a drastic upgrade). The months started dragging by, and I even had nightmares of being attacked by ugly rings! I had been talking to one of the owners and some of their sales team at Rubin Brothers and after seeing their selection and finding a ring that was super, super close to what I was envisioning they suggested that I fully customize one. But wait, isn't that expensive? Like something that Beyonce would do (and could afford?) But it wasn't nearly as much as we had originally thought at all. I gave them a rough drawing of my ring, which is composed of bits of pieces of several rings that I've seen. They were pretty amazed at the drawing since it is completely 100% original. I was a little worried if they would be able to pull the design off, but Josh, their designer was able to send me some rough designs, and after 2 revisions, the ring of my dreams was staring back at me. I get tons of compliments on my ring all the time and I absolutely love the fact that I will not see the same ring on someone else's finger. Rubin Brothers understood there was a budget and a cap we had and worked with us. They never pushed us into the "next category up" even though some of their Veragio pieces were absolutely beautiful (and completely out of my price range). One other common practice used by car sales lots and other jewelry stores that I absolutely hate is being passed off to an "associate" once the original sales guy realizes that you aren't going to give them that large commission. None of that was experienced here, in fact, I dragged my sales guy from ring to ring all over their sales floor and he stayed with me through the whole experience. I'm so happy that I got the ring of my dreams here and can't wait until I'm ready to buy my next big piece of jewelry cause I know where I'll be going!

These comments refer only to their online presence. I have…read morenever visited the physical location for this company. I have only access their online presents, that is, their website. I am totally blind and have been searching for a Tissot silen-T watch since mine died recently. This is the best watch I've ever had as a blind person. So, I was excited to see it available on their website. I was willing to buy it site unseen (pun intended) from their website and proceeded to do so. Their website sent me to Shopify to complete the sale. When trying to complete the sale I put in all my information, including my credit card information, but was unable to enter my shipping address. I found this puzzling. So, I called them. First time I called I got no answer. The second time I called I spoke to a female employee. She said that she would have to check with the Tissot rep. I found this odd because the website looks like the inventory is theirs not Tissot's. They said they would call me back. I did not receive a call back, so, the next day I called them, again. This time a female employee, I suspect it was the same person, told me that I was in luck because the TSA rep was in their store. I don't know why that was important, but, she said hold on and went to speak to him. She came back on the line and told me that the rep from Tissot told her that these watches had not been produced in 26 years. I knew that they were discontinued but I don't believe it was 26 years ago as I have only been blind for 25 years. And I have bought two of these watches within the last 15 years. The ones I bought, I purchased new, from Kay jewelers. The female employee told me that she didn't even know they had a Shopify presence. She also said they don't have those watches. So, all in all, if you're trying to do business with them go to their physical location and maybe they can help you. Obviously, trying to deal with them over the phone with their website is a total waste of your time. I was definitely unimpressed and disappointed.

I had a very disappointing experience at Simon D Jewelers. I left the store crying…read more I visited right when they opened to have a gold ring weighed and the stones tested to see if they were real. As a young woman in her early 20s, this was my first time ever visiting a jewelry store. I simply wanted basic information and guidance to understand its value. A close friend had recommended this store and spoke highly of their service, so I went in with high expectations. When I asked about weighing and testing the ring, Simon (the owner) initially implied he couldn't help. After I mentioned a friend had recommended them, I was questioned about who my friend was and where I got the ring, which immediately felt uncomfortable. When the owner looked at the ring, he repeatedly asked, "What do you want to do with it? Are you trying to sell it?" I explained honestly that I didn't know yet -- I just wanted to understand its value first. He responded very sternly, "We buy gold here." I apologized and said I didn't realize that was one of their services. Instead of explaining, the tone quickly became impatient and hostile. The owners voice was hot-tempered, which made me feel talked down to and embarrassed. The interaction was so uncomfortable that I became visibly emotional and ended up CRYING in the store -- something that should never happen during a simple customer service visit. He continued pressing me about if I had the intention of selling. His wife then told me they didn't want to give out "free information" unless I intended to sell to them. To be fair, his wife did speak to me more kindly and calmly, but reinforced that Simon is very busy and really only wants to help if you're looking to sell. I understand I was not a priority since I'd never done business with them before, but basic courtesy shouldn't depend on whether someone is making an immediate sale. Weighing gold and testing stones are quick, standard services that most jewelers provide. I came in respectfully asking for help and could have been a future customer, but instead felt unwelcome and judged. To make matters worse, they quoted me a price which I later learned was far below its actual value. Overall, I would not recommend this business. Big spenders get smiles -- everyone else gets attitude.
