However, I feel I would be doing both myself and the community a disservice if I wasn't honest about what we encountered. Within just one week of attendance, our concerns grew. We collected our 1-year-old son twice to find him in dirty diapers, and the general cleanliness of the facility was lacking. While the teachers seemed genuinely invested, the high child-to-caregiver ratio likely led to these oversights. Alarmingly, we witnessed young children being placed in timeout, a practice not allowed for their age in GA. When we raised concerns, especially after paying $3,000 for that week, the daycare dismissed us claiming they were very clear upfront about setting expectations. (We clearly expected more from them than they did of themselves.). Eventually the daycare stopped answering our questions. Parents, please think carefully before choosing Little Miss Sunshines playhouse.

She had the best teachers, from compassionate, knowledgeable, skilled and structured... There are so many teachers at this school that have made a tremendous impact on my daughter's life and early development. Ms. Eileen, Ms. Krystal, Ms. Marcia, Ms. Darlene, Ms. Dianne, Ms. Teresa, Ms. Paola, Mr. Walter, Ms. Sarah, Ms. Dena and Ms. Meghan H. My daughter excelled because of the teachers, support staff and the administration at this school. Before she was born, I toured school after school and what sold me was the level of care and understanding that this school has for individualism. In addition, their spotless records on Bright From the Start's inspections and their accreditation. Even with a transition in management a few years ago (I thought the transition could have been a bit smoother), the team did a phenomenal job in being transparent and focusing on the children. When my daughter continued to excel, the teachers came up with additional ways to keep her engaged in the class (which is REALLY hard to do). There's only one thing I can say that is truly negative about this school, and that's the fact that it is too far away for me to keep my daughter here. Moving to a new school district was a downfall when COVID-19 hit. However, I've yet to experience a school that is this well put together, transparent in communication, active in the community, and proactive about my child's care. Honestly, if you want a great school for your child, this is where you want to send them.

Our tuition at Smyrna was inclusive of breakfast (which at both locations is typically apple sauce and a small pastry). At Roswell North, your $300 a week does not include a breakfast. And now the faculty are charging a registration fee every year? So the $15,000 annually isn't enough and they will need to charge another registration fee each year for a child that is already registered. Sure do miss the other Primrose.

I have had two daughters go through all the 3s, one will be in Pre-K in the fall and one was there in 2010-11. Not only is this a family owned and operated business, they manage to bring the staff, children (and their parents and siblings!) into their fold as an extended family as well. As is the case with all families, there are sometimes challenges. They are ALWAYS handled by the Director on down immediately and in a way that will always benefit the children. While I think everyone is entitled to their opinion and I will fight for your right to express it, I respectfully disagree with the negative comments written below. There is NO WAY any child was drug across a room or tied to a chair. Now I will agree that maybe what was seen was a child tripping and being caught or a game of Rapunzel "tying up" Flynn Ryder and I'm confident if asked the situation would be explained. As for the use of the word "teacher". I believe we all use that word pretty freely. From Sunday School "teachers' to Music Class "teachers" to Ballet "teachers", I would guess most of those "teachers" do not have any type of teaching degree but, it does make it a heck of a lot easier to explain who they are to our children. Also, afternoon in any pre-school is not the educational time of the day. Academics are always in the morning, while the afternoon is for fun and let's face it, day care. And who better to play with the children than teenagers - that's why they are so often hired as babysitters, right? I can't speak to the movies being shown but again, there are exceptions to every rule and it seems that this could have been solved easily by sending in a few movies from home since they only watch them on Fridays. Also, in all the classes we have been in any PG movie that was sent in for Special Movie day was replaced by a classroom video and all the children understood why they could not watch it. We only have one more year left at Young Life and just writing that makes me sad. I can't imagine any parent, who is truly looking for a wonderful foundation to their child's academic career while still maintaining family values and open lines of communication would find anything less than perfection at this school!!

It's truly a…read morehidden gem for families seeking a college preparatory education in a welcoming, structured environment. With varied academic levels--including AP, Honors, and two tiers of College Prep, students are both challenged and supported, allowing every student to thrive & receive the individual attention they deserve. Our son struggles with executive functioning and has thrived with the supportive routines; our daughter, a more typical learner, has also excelled. The curriculum is intentionally process-oriented, broken down into manageable segments so students gain mastery, not just memorization. There's a strong emphasis on organizational skills, note-taking (Cornell method), research skills, and effective study habits. The mandatory "Homework Hour" and use of assignment planners help students build discipline and self-reliance; as parents, we appreciate that most homework is completed at school. It's an excellent fit for students with dyslexia or ADHD, but also offers plenty of challenge--including Honors and AP options, for academically advanced or typical learners. St Francis sets high, but appropriate, expectations for all. A previous post mentioned the point system. This system is an amazing way to help students with accountability. The post mentioned 3-10 kids per week that might have to wear the uniform on Fridays. This point system is at the K-8 campus. That equates to about 1-2% of the kids each week. That means ~99% get their homework completed each night and don't have a behavior issue at school. We have not experienced any vaping or bullying, the staff, creates a safe community. Students and staff are respectful and kind. Both staff and admin are accessible, present on campus, and genuinely care about each child. Our experience with the school's college guidance program has been especially impressive; counselors work closely with students to chart a successful course to their desired college. If there's a weakness, it's that the campus buildings and grounds aren't new and flashy. It's important for prospective families to know that the academic excellence and caring community here far outweigh how our campus compares to some of the other newer private school campuses. If you're searching for a school that prioritizes strong values and a college preparatory path, St Francis deserves your attention. We are deeply invested in this community, and are grateful every day for what this school offers. St Francis is one of those rare places where students are truly known, respected, and equipped with the habits and confidence needed for lifelong success. We love St. Francis and are proud to recommend it wholeheartedly!

We left public school seeking a curriculum that was engaging and challenging to a gifted student,…read morewhile supporting executive function delays when they hindered academic progress. We were impressed that St. Francis presented itself as a school specializing in supporting a variety of learners, even twice-exceptional ones, while promoting "a culture of neurodiverse inclusion and kindness" (their words). St. Francis instilled a sense of potential that felt deeply important to us and we chose to invest our time and finances in the hopes of partnership, not perfection. Unfortunately, we consistently experienced a gap between documented accommodations and their practical implementation. Many supports appear to be discretionary or dependent upon real-time self-advocacy from a student who is often already in sensory overload or emotional overwhelm. When environmental factors like noise were adjusted, performance and confidence improved immediately, confirming that the barrier was never effort, but access. We also encountered moments of friction surrounding mental health, sexuality, and identity that compounded our concern about whether difference is truly understood here beyond a philosophical level. I share these experiences not out of anger, but out of regret that I didn't have a well-rounded understanding of this school when we first applied. Our child is not unique. There will always be students who are bright, complex, and neurologically different. Ours will not be the last student at St. Francis who struggles academically and emotionally not because they lack effort, but because the environment does not flex with them. When a school markets itself as supportive of neurodivergence, families enter with trust. It is painful when that expectation is not met in practice. I hope that similar families can learn from our experience without having to experience it themselves. I hope St. Francis continues to examine how accommodations are operationalized, how sensory regulation is understood, and how students who live at the intersection of giftedness and neurodivergence are supported, especially those without strong parental advocacy.
