Goodwill Thrift Store & Donation Center

I recently went to the Powder Springs Goodwill location and loved the selection during the visit…read more The ladies restroom was out of order but the men's restroom was not. This was inconvenient, but would not deter me from returning to shop again. The dressing rooms were closed. There were some great finds in women's clothing & household items especially for the sale color of the week. I saw items new with tags and I liked the selection. Like other locations, you do need time to browse through the racks to find things as some customers may move things to the wrong area. The employees were friendly when I checked out. I left with a few items and would return when in the area to shop again!

Super hit or miss. This is the closest location to my home so it's where I do most donations (staff…read moreis not very friendly typically speaking) but from a thrift perspective it's very luck of the draw. On a handful of visits I've found some decent finds, but most of the time I leave this location empty handed & feeling like I want to wash my hands immediately. Updating my 2 star review to a one star review after my second drop off during a move - today I dropped off 8 boxes of clothing. The guy just stood over me silently wating. No offer to help. It was very uncomfortable and frankly quite rude. He seemed annoyed with me for donating. What made this worse was there was an elderly woman in front of me who also had a large donation and no one made a move to help her either. She left before I was done unloading otherwise I would have helped her. With a move in the next few weeks, I planned on making quite a few donations however, I think I'll make the effort to go further away to the next closest one after this. That was unacceptable and While I wish I didn't have to, I don't feel comfortable being there after this.

Getting back into my thrifting and saw some videos online about Park Ave Thrift, so I figured I'd…read morehead on out there. The plaza was booming with business and smelled so good. I need to go back one day just to see what else is happening over there. I visited on a Saturday and there were a number of other shoppers in the building. Speaking of the building, this place is bigger than what I expected. There was row after row of thrifted items. Rows weren't really labeled well, but it was obvious what each section was. What wasn't obvious? The prices on some of those tags! I could barely read some numbers but I just went with it, lol. Beyond that, there was great variety in here! Customer service was pretty non-existent when I was there, but I managed, lol. I ventured in with the hopes of finding some special pieces for my son as a toddler and I did. I came across an adorable houndstooth Mickey Mouse blazer - love! Among a few other items for him, I also grabbed a little Polo and sparkly dress for my niece and a gorgeous cocktail dress for myself. I walked out paying $25! Before I left I signed up for their rewards program and as someone who is getting back into thrifting, I'm hyped to visit them again to see what I can find.

Used sneakers for $70 and fake designer for $60-$100. It's a joke. They are extremely racist and get attitudes. There is also no pricing strategy. Just whatever they feel that day. But if their friends want something the price is magically lower. The cashier even changes prices at the register if she feels it's not enough. I'm not sure how the owners have brainwashed the employees into being so crude and money hungry.
