Unlike the ysual "elective TKR surgery" as usual? I've never in my 30+ years of extensive Medical knowledge & experience seen a Surgeon of any Specialty....just freeze up on me, just because of the vast knowledge of the actual Minimally invasive Surgical procedure itself, (aside from other things?) He actually, said to me, "You talk like you know more than me?" Really now? How can a surgeon say that.. or feel that, unless they are feeling threatened or intimidated by knowledge? It was very disappointing. As I went throughout the whole weekend in deep thought, and decided to get a 2nd opinion from there. As he did not agree to do the TKR Surgery specifically, as it is medically necessary for me? And it all comes down to the Money. Shame on you, putting Money before your patient's lives! (I see that more & more in this Healthcare System.) People, use your own dicernment, and read between the lines. He didn't even go over over the X-Rays in front of me, or even discuss my condition? As if he thinks this is by Telepathy? It really left me perplexed! So, without discussing my personal Medical information, and all the extensive Medical knowledge I have? I can clearly say, "Go elsewhere fast" He will make you feel so small and insignificant, humiliate you in some way, & just take full control of your choices!! By the way, beware Nevada is the state that is the highest paid in the Nation.. for Doctors! What does that tell you? A whole lot...

Afternoon appointments seem to go faster than mid-morning. The office has an in-house MRI machine, which I used last week. The appointment was easy and the attendant made me feel comfortable the entire time. Today, I stopped in for my MRI results and luckily I don't have a rotator cuff tear!! That was a concern due to my symptoms. I did have a minor labrum tear, which is relatively common due to my age. It's deep inside the shoulder, and not affiliated with the pain I was having on my outside shoulder and upper arm. To help alleviate my discomfort, they suggested a cortisone shot. I could come back for another every few months, as needed. Andrew W. Is a PA on the team and he's excellent at giving shots! He and the nurse prepped the materials, used cooling to numb the area, insert the shot into my rotator cuff muscle on my back, and then apply a laser for healing before taping on a bandage. It was very efficient and fast, plus relatively painless!! I was so impressed! If you need a cortisone shot, I would definitely ask for Andrew W., if possible!

Both of these therapists received their advanced graduate degrees in PT at the University of Southern California. I am more than happy to say I just finished a successful course of treatment with Jeff Dietrich for advanced degenerative changes in my lumbar back, including severe spinal canal stenosis, nerve compression, disc protrusions and bulges, and multilevel lumbar facet arthropathy. I am a late-70s female, lifelong athlete and musician who has no intention of sitting around. About Jeff Dietrich: Jeff's technical expertise and advanced knowledge of spine rehabilitation are world-class. I say this because he is the 5th physical therapist I have seen in the 7 years, and the only one who was able to use multiple approaches to solve my pain issues and relearn proper body mechanics--without steroid injections or surgery. On a personal level, he is meticulously focused on the patient's needs and observant of their personal goals. Jeff is also an excellent listener and teacher with the emotional intelligence to motivate anyone willing to commit to the consistent work of physical therapy. I am very grateful that my physician, William Rosenberg, M.D., referred me to JD for rehab. Not only is the staff friendly and efficient, but now I can again participate in the physical activities that bring me joy, without the pain. Big "thanks" to all!

Even after I was officially cleared, I chose to keep scheduling with her because of how much better she made me feel, especially with my tight back muscles. She has an incredible way of combining professionalism with genuine care, and every appointment leaves me feeling better. 10/10 for Dr. Jessie!

On surgery day, he even moved the incision site a little to avoid my hand tattoo! He's pretty awesome! I did have some issues because my surgery was near Christmas so my sutures should have come out in 5 days. But I was scheduled for 12 days post op to get them out. I ended up going to urgent care the day afyer Christmas and got out on 2 weeks of antibiotics because it got infected and a couple areas tore and made a hole. Even the urgent care doc said those stitches need to come out ASAP! Stitches came out Monday, even the tech was saying they were left in too long. Oh well. Besides from the scheduling mess up, the fact I'm not in constant pain is wonderful! Thank you Dr. Laroche for helping me!

No appointment necessary. Perfect! Or so I thought. I came in on crutches, barely able to put weight on one leg. The waiting area is not wide enough for someone on crutches to get to a chair. There were two staff members behind the glass. They both looked like they were having a rough day and the office had just opened. No greeting. Just a look. Not a welcoming one. Eventually I was called up to the window and asked if I had an appointment. My reply..."No. I thought this was a walk in clinic". The woman who was speaking to me asked a few more questions about insurance, then told me the system was down and to go have a seat. Once again I had to hobble down the very narrow aisle carrying my crutches while limping back to my seat. I felt bad for these stressed out ladies working behind the desk. However, it seemed that no one had any regard for me or any of the other patients waiting to be seen for acute injuries. I left this "clinic" and headed to UMC quick care where I was treated with an exceptional level of care. I don't recommend this "Fast Track Clinic". Two stars is generous.

The lady who assisted me was very knowledgeable in explaining all the results, answered all my questions, and before I knew it I was out the door without feeling rushed. The whole process took about 30 minutes. Just started a new weight loss regimen so I will definitely be back to see the progression of my stats. It is so worth the drive. Management needs to invest in proper staff training, improve their phone availability, and start returning customer calls.
