Overall, I was disappointed with my experience. My physician suggested I go here to sort out a weakness in one of my knees. On my first visit, I felt like I got good attention from a pro who knew what he was doing. Turns out he was the manager. He indeed identified the issue and walked me through some exercises I could do at home.
Then he suggested I come back twice a week for a bunch of weeks (I think the plan ended when my insurance coverage ended - go figure).
Okay, I did my exercises and went back for the next visit. Not impressed at all. The PT seemed to struggle with what to do with me for an hour. I felt like he was making up things to do until the hour was over. I certainly did not feel confidence nor get any useful guidance or insight.
As I walked out the door, I decided I can do the exercises at home just as well. I don't need to waste my time at ATI. Turns out I was right. My continued home exercises have mitigated the issue and all is good. Bottom line is that I suspect some people can be well served here, but I'm not one of them. read more
