Starting w/Kristina at the reception desk, most pleasant, to meeting w/ my Physical Therapist Dan. He treated me with the utmost respect and confidence with a genuine concern for my journey to healing. Along my journey I had the most positive support from other PT's as well. To mention them: Sally, Stephanie, Mike, Wendy, and Brandy. I had the pleasure to working with them all. Today September 16, I completed my Therapy. After a total knee replacement in July 2024, I started my PT at the ATI location in Simpsonville SC inside Prisma Hillcrest Memorial Hospital. I knew I hurt, I knew that this would be a test of humility and patience for me, a imaging professional for 30 yrs, I am used to providing the care, I am not used to relying on others to care for me...I am stubborn and I pushed to get to my goal of returning to work and reaching my therapy goals What I didn't know is the team at ATI would become like family for me. On the days I had energy and was gung ho, they worked to push me.. On the days where I was frustrated with the pace or setbacks in my recovery, they comforted me and got me through the hard days, and I had many. To say I had 1 or 2 therapists working with me, think of the saying "it takes a village" well, it's true in my case. They were flexible with my work schedule and would fit me in with whoever had availability. I was also experiencing long term post concussion symptoms from about a year and a half prior. The initial phone call was thorough to start. Dr. Kat is very knowledgeable! After 6 sessions, my symptoms are virtually GONE! I sat in the backseat of an hour long car ride after about 4 sessions and was fine. Before we started, reading a book in bed with the ceiling fan on was nauseating; I had to turn the fan off. Sitting in the front seat of someone's car made me very unwell-nauseous and dizzy. This week I was able to read with the ceiling fan on! These things we may not realize are not healthy - something is off. Rebalancing the inner ear is exactly what I needed and I've made HUGE improvements these past few months! She also did dry needling for my neck and got those knots cleared out! HIGHLY recommend!
