I felt that she would be the best person to go to. I made the appointment the very next day to get my eyebrows threaded. When I went into the salon she made me feel wellcome and relaxed. She explained the threading procedure again and put me at ease. I was so impressed with the results I told everyone about her. My boss went down the next week and made an appointment. She also gave me tips on plucking my brows. I would never dream of going to anyone else now. Its safe to say that I will be a lifelong fan, and convert to the Upper Echelon school of brow threading. No care or customer service or consideration and I say avoid unless you want cheap and efficient. Apart from the efficiency and price I found the experience awful and felt like I'd been slung through the fast food drive through of waxing. The receptionist was lovely but after I filled out my form for the first visit I was shown to a room and left there by someone else. The woman appears opens the door and she tells me abruptly to undress. It's then I realised the woman who had shown me in was my waxer to be but wouldn't have known from the way she was dressed. Door shuts again. I undress she returns and she tells me to get on the bench. I'm ticklish so I tell her so and sticks the wax on. Both arms at once so I have both arms held above my head uncomfortably and she waits till the wax hardens and strips it off, one arm followed by the other. She then plucks in a slap dash way stray hairs and she pinches me with her tweezers. The whole experience was pretty traumatic. I'm thankful it was only underarms. I'm left to dress and I ask her about aftercare because I don't wax regularly. She responds by tapping a paper sign on the back of the door with her finger and tells me to read and she leaves while telling me to "keep waxing". We've exchanged barely a sentence in the whole service. Just to add she never once cleaned my pits before or after the wax which is somewhat concerning, especially as there was some slight bleeding after. I leave and she is polite enough but I will never ever ever return. UPDATE: After examining my pit after the service I can see loads of hairs that have just broken rather than being removed cleanly as she just applied one big layer of wax and didn't factor in the different direction of hairs.

I'd grown out my eyebrows for 3-4 weeks because I was looking forward to my visit to Browhaus; I've been to their locations in three other countries and they've always been uniformly good. At this location, an obnoxious little twit ignored my very simple instructions to leave my brows *thick* and with a high, pointy arch and proceeded to leave me with thin, flat eyebrows. Not only that, she also managed to inflict maximum pain while threading, pinching my skin more than a couple of times. All the while giving me *so much attitude* I almost thought she was my teenager. (I'm not entirely sure it was her, but when someone else in the staff was trying to help me figure out a solution, she also said, "That's five minutes of my life wasted!" I mean, come the *fuck* on. This is MY FACE and eyebrows take weeks to grow back!) It's also a really dingy, dark place, in the basement of a building, and the towels etc on the beds don't look like they've been washed in a few weeks.
