The RMT, Benny, was recommended to me by a friend who had a good massage with him. I was hesitant at first as I don't typically use male RMTs (feel more comfortable with female RMTs), however, after such positive reviews from my friend I decided to book a massage with Benny. I arrived at Heal Space day of my appointment where the entrance was easy to find (despite the entrance being in a back alley). I waited in the "waiting area" room where Benny came out shortly at my massage time. He led me to the massage room and we talked about my concerns and what I hoped to get out of the massage. He listened to my requests and then the massage began. I found that he did a great job with working my muscles as I often workout and enjoy a more deep tissue massage with a good amount of pressure to relieve my soreness and deep knots. My body definitely felt relief afterwards where I got a great night of sleep. Definitely will return for more massage therapy sessions in the future!

I have been seeing Dr. Cynthia Tang for physiotherapy on and off over the past years. She has been…read moregreat help bringing me back to recovery whenever I suffered from neck injuries and muscle tensions/pain. Her method of care is straight forward and effective. Don't be alarmed to go back for 3-4 sessions. It certainly takes time to heal. Each session is about an hour long. The therapist first applies a gel on the affacted area and massages with a warm massage rod to sooth the nerve inflammation. She then proceeds to use electrodes to pulsate my neck muscles... you can choose the level of intensity. It feels so good that I usually fall alseep! And lastly, she finishes with hand massage and gentle muscle stretching exercises. At the end of each session, Cynthia will give you advice and reminder on what you should do and should not do to prevent further injuries and to relief tensions. Be sure to make an appointment! They will try to accommodate the best they can even on the same day. The staff there are courteous, friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended :)

I know massages can be quite personal and it is all about how much pressure you want them to apply on your body and how comfortable they make you feel. I have been going to different MTs all over the GTA and in my opinion, Joan is truly the best one! Everyone and everything about the place was great! I called several days earlier to book Joan (recommended by a friend) and the receptionist whom I spoke with was friendly and accommodating. I love that they give you an email reminder the day before so I wouldn't forget the appointment. The place was super clean and the fact that I booked the massage for 8am, there was no one there besides the MT and I, making the place nice and relaxing. I really hate to go to places where the walls are thin and I can hear people talking outside. The massage was seriously the best! Joan was super nice and made sure I was comfortable. She definitely focused on the areas that needed more work (shoulders, upper back). Perhaps it is because Joan is a Athletic Therapist, but she knew exactly how to go about the problem.
