My daughter has been a member of AP since 2019, she has had amazing experience! We love the staff/owners, they take the time to get to know the girls. My daughter started very shy & timid, in the short time she's been training here, she has gained so much confidence, dedication and determination. Durning a private lesson, she was asked to write down her cheer goals, not only did her coach help her achieve those goals, but she took the time to respond to those goals with a sweet note, a year later. My daughter has been attending this gym for the past 3 years and her experience has been great. The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging. We are also enrolled in private tumbling lessons and they really work with each child at their own pace to help them achieve their goals. I waited a few months to post this review to cool off. We joined this gym after careful thought because my daughter had always wanted to do comp cheer. She loves the sport and was doing well on the prep team. **However, this gym has a horrible bullying problem that the coaches view as not their problem. My daughter spent months being hit, kicked, shoved, pinched and stomped on by a girl who has a horrible attitude problem to the staff as well. Nothing was done. My daughter's team coach would blow it off. It wasn't until my daughter had enough and slapped this girl's hand away while she was shoving her that got the owner's attention and my daughter was punished for that and even still the girl was allowed to participate without any real consequences. The abuse from this girl was witnessed and experienced by other teammates as well. She tells girls on the team to shut up while they're counting every practice, it's mind blowing. This girl admitted to the behavior but claimed it was all an accident so the owner brushed it under the rug and pulled a "let's all be friends like this never happened". A captain on my daughter's team told my daughter she was "F***ing ugly" and nothing was done because the girl "is like a second daughter" to her coach (per the coach's own words). This gym cares more about receiving their monthly dues than having a safe and positive environment for the girls. You can pay to play regardless of your behavior. I pulled my daughter days after paying almost $700 for the month for tuition, classes, privates and comp fees because we'd had enough. No apology from the business. Absolutely nothing done to rectify the situation or make right what was done to my daughter. How embarrassing... Beware. I would definitely skip this gym if you're on the fence. Not worth the headache and heartache for your child. If any of this had happened to any of the owner's or coach daughters, I promise you it would have been handled correctly. *The main owner has responded and denies that they have a bullying problem. I spoke on the phone to owner Andrea who only told a partial truth about the situation, solely blaming my daughter's behavior in the incident (slapping Everly/Evelyn? hand away). I was told if anything happened again I'd be called immediately to pick up my child. After getting to the bottom of this with my child, I contacted Andrea via text to have a paper trail to address the other child assaulting my daughter. She denied the situation and would only talk via in person or phone. I learned the hard way to make sure I keep a paper trail via text or email. Can you see why? They refused. How convenient, right? Because between this interaction and removing my daughter from the gym I allowed my daughter one more practice and she was pulled aside with Andrea and the offending child who admitted to all of the behavior that had gone on for months but was not punished. It was brushed under the rug. I told them they're out of their minds to think I'd let my daughter step foot in their building again. I said I have other parents confirming via writing about what their children have seen and witnessed. They immediately removed me from the parent apps to prevent further communication. Interesting right? Protect your children, people. Keep them out of this gym. Those who have monetary interest will never put what's right first. How sad. **Other parents on the prep team have also reported amongst each other that the parent portion of this gym is very toxic and unwelcoming. They sit in their cars and won't come in because it's very cliquish and mothers are rude to newcomers. I don't care to socialize so it didn't bother me but I noticed this too. I have no problem attaching screenshots of these texts from parents confirming from them and their children everything mentioned in my review if the business wants to continue denying and not rectifying. read more

Wish I could leave no stars. Athletic Perfection lacks professionalism and makes decisions solely based on their personal feelings. That's all that needs to be said. Example of this: My sisters have been apart of their gym for years and this year the team got a bid to the D2 summit, then were let go from the team due to reasons having nothing to do with them. The Tracy Press did an article about this and Athletic Perfection purposely submitted a photo without my sisters. They also deleted all photos of my sisters off their Instagram page. Very petty and unfair to them because they worked so hard and did nothing to deserve such disrespect. read more

The training is very good but they single people out. Instead of it being one clique it's multiple and they have favorites. They also over charge for everything and seem to only care about the money. I wanted to be in cheerleading to make friends and build skills but because I wasn't good enough to be on a team I didn't get that. Imagine wanting to do cheer camps and all the extra fun things they do together as a team and not being able to. My little cousin does it and she cries if she goes in without her friend because they also single her out and she doesn't feel comfortable going unless she walks in with one of her very few friends. Some of the girls are very rude also. The coach I had was nice but I just wish I had a better experience. read more

On the plus side, my daughter learned and developed some awesome skills that definitely benefit her and her current cheer team :) A select few of the coaching staff are great. Other that than that, we found Athletic Perfection to not be a very nurturing environment. If your child wants to have fun and not just worry about winning, then A.P. is NOT for you. I signed my son up for their boys tumbling class. I really wasn't that impressed. To me, it was a glorified supervised playtime. They focused more on situps, pullups, and the like rather than actual tumbling. The boys jumped around alot, and jumped over things, but they didn't even do basic somesaults. My son did enjoy his instructor and did have fun, it's just not at all what I was expecting. I didn't feel it was worth the price. However, while I was there, I observed the girls' cheer team. I think this is where Athletic Perfection could be ideal for someone interested in that sort of thing. The instructors seemed to be on their game, and the girls seemed to be focused, determined, and overall happy to be there. read more

My daughter has been part of the AP family for two and a half seasons. It has been a joy to watch her skills develop and see her flourish. She gets excited when they get to try something new in their routine. Her confidence grows with each competition. Her coaches have been amazing and she enjoys them all. Remember as parents we also have a responsibility when it comes to our children's paths and success. If you have any questions or concerns talk to the owners. They are not only receptive, but helpful. They are also knowledgeable. They want to see your daughter succeed and will help get her there, but you have to be receptive too. read more

I have had a terrible experience with them. Do not sign anything unless you are willing to be treated horribly if your child starts to hate being there. My daughter has grown so much these past two years at Athletic Perfection. The coaches truly care about their athletes and teach them more then just the sport of cheerleading. They will walk away with so many amazing attributes. Dedication, Confidence, Teamwork, Commitment, Motivation, to name a few. It really is our second home and Destinee has made some amazing friendships that will last a lifetime. Also it is such a good outlet for her and a place that she can 100% be herself with no judgement or negativity. I would definitely recommend AP and we are glad they are apart of my child's life. Highly competitive environment. Kids will form bonds with their team that is beyond their bond with most of the coaches. Keep in mind, this is a place for kids to gain skills, BUT first, it is a business! Expect price hikes every 2 years, pretty common. I had 2 kids here for 3+ years. They loved the sport and improved here. They also had some unpleasant experiences with coaches too. Guess you can take the good with the bad. read more

In the two years we have been with AP I have watched my daughter go from shy, timid, and unsure of herself, to someone who is outgoing, confident, and building strong leadership skills that she will carry with her for the rest of her life. I just saw a review from cheer M. I am both shocked and disgusted by this review. I want to say this is a low blow!! My daughter cheered for AP for many years. She only stopped because she went off to college. SHe came home over break and went to visit. When she came home she said she wished she could cheer with AP again. They are great coaches. They are tough on the girls for a reason....they need for them to pay attention and give their all so they don't get hurt. They are not degrading. They care about their athletes. I have been at other gyms where they aren't as organized or strict and it's a mess. I love the coaching staff as did my daughter. They all came to her graduation party to let her know how proud if her they were. As far as them destroying families....are you kidding!! They are all happily married with families...sounds like a jealous mom! Yes they are beautiful but doesn't mean they are home wreckers! I give AP 5 stars because they are the best!! read more

We were fortunate enough to attend one of the free open gym sessions and were blown away by the talent and professionalism here. As a former cheerleader and dance student, I truly respect the high standard the girls are held to--students aren't just taught cheer but self discipline as well. My daughter loves her tumbling class and we plan on trying out for the competitive team next year. read more

The kids are great....the coaches are horrible. they are out right demeaning and won't hold back insulting even the youngest child. Its all about winning for them although they hardly ever attend competitions that have a lot of skilled teams to compete against. My daughter came home crying after practice because Julie and Jenn were so mean to her. Julie has 3 daughters on the teams and highlights them over everyone else among a few other veteran kids. The price is outrageous. I say save your money and go elsewhere. Its not worth it. If your child is overweight, stay clear. She will not be welcomed there. read more

First off cheer m could not have been more right! They had her review removed because they don't their true colors to be known. This place belittles their athletes like no other, they hold practices in that hot gym with no water breaks in the middle of summer, the coaches/owners do not want anything to do with the parents questions or concerns, they are more than rude and snotty! I would not recommend this gym to my worst enemy. Those girls deserve better. They try their best just to be put down and told how terrible they are. With them it's all about winning and has no concern with teaching or helping the athletes improve. I only picked 1 star because I had to in order to post but they get a 0 from me read more
