I had some pretty hefty work done with Dr Rigney and here is my honest takeaway : Key difference with my three visits at Athens Advanced dental was, Dr Risinger was not there to give me bs or talk to me like a child. He was courteous , patient and stating the facts of what he believed was best for me with options. I felt like he wasn't trying to sell me on anything, just the facts and answered every one of my many questions. I also felt zero pain with major work done. He was the only dentist in 10 years that took his time to explain any and all concerns I had including insurance questions and didn't make me feel like I was just a sale. They charge you full price for the items they don't file the claim for. When you call them out on not filing they claim, Joann says she has to file a paper claim now and it takes 45 days. That is BS! I have been trying to get reimbursed since January this year and they give you the run around and blame my insurance company. Even had a conference call with my insurance company and Joann that does the billing because my insurance wanted to know why they didn't file the claim. The dentist is a whole different story as well! He comes in, doesn't speak to you, gets an attitude with the dental assistant and degrades her constantly because she isn't moving as fast as he thinks she should. The left side came unglued and was springing up and poking me. Very painful!! I guess 28 years of the glue holding was a good long time, but time was up! I called my regular dentist and they could not help me, instead referred me to an orthodontist. I went there, and upon leaving I could tell what they did was not going to last, as it felt very thin for some reason. I was right, the very next morning, the retainer sprang loose again and I was in the same boat. I called Dr. Coker's office and spoke to Mary, who had me come in right away. I should have called Dr. Coker in the first place. I went in, and his assistant thoroughly applied the best adhesive ever and got my retainer back in place.
