I got a letter apologizing for the employee's behavior, but was told they "did not believe" her behavior was a HIPAA violation. I filed a complaint with HIPAA. Turns out IT WAS A HIPAA VIOLATION. I never heard anything further from the doctors office. No acknowledgment. No apology. Based on the office manager's previous reaction, I doubt they'd want to hear about how they can improve as a practice. It's really sad. It wouldn't be hard to do a better job.

The location at Piedmont Hospital never understands how to take blood, spin it down and give back serum. My last set of labs reported incorrect results prompting an emergency room request. I was recently there and Ms. Jasmine provided my service and it was excellent. The front desk was very nice as well and explained the paper work and the check-in kiosk was easy to use. Sometimes when people are sick they forget that there are others sick as well. Labcorps has policies like every other business. Don't be upset with them when they have to follow their company rules. It's their job to loose for doing something wrong not yours. Be kind and thoughtful and you will find they will reciplicate in turn. Shout out to the team there! She took my paperwork and typed in my information, took my insurance information, and handed it back to me. With the same gloves on the whole time, then she proceeded to dig in the bin for what I hope is a clean needle. Draws the blood, and of course, she misses, then she moves to the other arm which I asked her not to do. Complete the draw and I walk out. She never even took her gloves off. She had 2 more pairs just sitting on the table. Not a clean or sterile practice. She is going to make someone sick or cause a bacterial infection
