What had happened was, thanks to hubs, he found Kingston Wok located in one of the many plazas on Ulster Ave in Kingston. Despite its strip small location, inside, looks anything but. The frontal has a bar area and is decked out with large plants. Their flaming red+black dining room hits you hard with lantern lamps giving out a nice glow to the already dim area. Hubs enjoyed his dumpling soup and charred pork ribs as he requested and pork fried rice. The fried wonton strips were divine+fresh tasting and my Thai Chili crispy red snapper fillet, was more than I could chew. But it was also busy. And while the sauce on the fish had a subtle heat, it was a gloppy heap of it. What's more, I was about to reheat my leftovers and actually noticed the red dye sauce at home. It was a turn-off. We'll return- but I'll go for non-saucy menu items next time. Our server was fast on his feet though and my Lychee Martini had nice strength.

My favorites were the Marzen, which was like a light and crisp Oktoberfest, and the Rauchbier, which possessed an unique smokiness. We also shared a soft Pretzel, which was the best we had ever had! Its sourdough interior was made from a locally-sourced flour, and its exterior had a rich, brew-inspired coating. It was served with a creamy, salted butter that was divine. We did not try one of their many creative pizzas that had been cooked in their stone oven, but they looked and smelled spectacular! Yes, they make their own donuts here, and that's enough reason to stop in, take out, or worship at the front door. We got our donuts to go after the meal...The coffee was GREAT. Too often, coffee, which should be the opening star of a diner experience, can be flavorless, browned water. Here it was good. Bold as I needed it to be, and the perfect foundation for the rest of the meal. My next go-to if they have it brunch experience is biscuits. They have them...you can get a biscuit on its own or, heck, go for a mini biscuit basket! I live for a biscuit-forward establishment. The Full Breakfast (submitting biscuit or potatoes for the meat) would have been my choice, but I decided to roll my own and ended up with a biscuit, fruit cup, and side of Hash Browns. They make the hash browns to order - large hash brown patties - and with 2 different orders of them at the table, one was overcooked, too brown, and not impressive...but the other was perfect and delicious...bordering on potato pancake territory in presentation and flavor. Our server was fantastic...we had a large party encompassing 3 different tables in the middle of a Sunday morning (On Easter no less), which is, of course, the busiest time of the week. The food was average. No complaints. My Waldorf salad was very plentiful. I took the remaining portion home. Customer Service was pretty good. The luncheonette has plenty of parking. Both were amazing. The big bowl at Coxsackie was ~$12 and it totally fills me up. Tastes delicious, and you can customize it, and I don't feel they nickel and dime ya, with up charges. Everything tastes fresh and the portion for price is on par and great for what you get. Pita is included with every bowl.
