This is one of Lakeland's hidden gems! Open daily from 7-2. Best breakfast in town. Awesome home fries. It's hidden and the faded sign is non existent. Venture inside, you won't be sorry! Tell Bette hello!

Completely horrible rude service. If you're not one of the old people who live around there you're going to get treated badly.

We visited on a Saturday around 5:30 PM. At first, I was a little nervous since the place was…read morecompletely empty--but I quickly noticed a steady stream of pickup orders, which reassured me that this spot is loved by locals. The décor is small and notably simple, but the food is what truly stands out. Everything was hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and portions. We ordered a mixed platter and the hummus with shawarma--both were fantastic. The meat was flavorful, and the hummus was smooth and rich. Definitely a place we'd return to for a casual, satisfying meal.

Based on yelp reviews I found Al-Sham Palace. We stopped for a late lunch /early dinner. It was…read moreempty except someone waiting for a carry out. We were greeted by a very nice young lady but she seemed surprised and somewhat taken back that we were there. She brought menus and asked for a beverage order. A coke and Diet Coke became an unknown brand in a small can served without ice. We ordered swarma sandwiches with fries and the beverage for an additional $3.50. When the orders arrived they were warm and very flavorful. We were still the only guests. Every table featured a Muslim table decoration that really made no difference to us but eventually we began to feel like we were strangers there. We noticed there were other folks in the kitchen and the waitress was not actually preparing our food. It was tasty and was spiced a little different than I have had before. The waitress brought our check on a portable card reader and I left our usual tip. We both felt a little out of place. The Yelp reviews were very positive but based on my search for middle eastern food in an area we have never been to, I was hoping for a more traditional food and service.

Came here for a work dinner as a recommendation but was underwhelmed…read more The inside has a Mediterranean vibe with what looks like a beautiful bar but the options for drinks weren't the best. The sangrias and margaritas for the buy one get one were premade and wine choices were limited. The food was just ok. I got the Acropolis seafood with rice. It was just a few, very small pieces of seafood with veggies as a filler. The service was hit or miss. At times attentive and others it took a while to get back to the table. They also didn't tell us about drink specials initially. Later when our bills came, almost everyone had to send theirs back for edits for the drink specials we did get.

Upon being seated you're served warm and freshly made pita with the most delicious and smooth tzatziki for dipping. Sooo good! We started with the calamari which was perfectly lightly battered and seasoned lightly, and cooked so well it wasn't chewy, had the slight crisp to it, and was served with a slightly battered and fried banana pepper and a few carrot sticks as well. Absolutely delicious. Every time. My daughter had the Acropolis seafood with rice. Sautéed shrimp, mussels, scallops, mushrooms, red onions and bell peppers with Acropolis signature roasted red pepper sauce over rice or penne pasta. Topped with shaved parmesan cheese She's incredibly hard to please and she loved her food. She said the rice was the perfect choice over the pasta as it was lighter for her and so much food she couldn't finish. Very well seasoned and full of flavor. I had the Chicken Rhodes. Premium grilled chicken breast in a manatari sauce, sautéed with artichokes, sun dried tomatoes, spinach and olives. Topped with crumbled feta cheese and served with orzo and roasted vegetables. It was DELICIOUS. The chicken was cooked well, but the FLAVORS were a party in my mouth! The roasted vegetables were the best I've had anywhere. Perfectly cooked and the seasoning and flavor was out of this world! I would go just to order the veggies they were that amazing! Brussels, zucchini, squash, and peppers. Fire!! Star of the plate! I demolished them first. The chicken was smothered in delicious toppings! The artichokes, Kalamata olives, sun dried tomatoes, feta, the sauce, everything was incredibly lip smacking delicious. The orzo was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of flavor to be subtle with the well seasoned veggies and complimented the dish perfectly. It was served with feta, some roasted red peppers, and a few olives in it as well. Our meal was fabulous and I can't wait to go back and try more things off the menu. I have no idea why this place wasn't busier.
